*Official* West Indies In Australia

Much, much better to do this than get out IMO. Given a draw is out of the question, any batsman who gets out due to Nash being bogged down is totally to blame for their own lack of mental fortitude. It doesn't matter if he doesn't score for a while as long as he stays there as the bowlers will get impatient eventually as well. The pressure should be on Australia to take wickets rather than on the West Indies to get on with the scoring because if they just keep batting they'll win. Sure it'd help if Nash was scoring but if he thinks the bowling is good now and will tire later he's got the right idea just seeing it out.
Well put.

Nash costing his team the game after tea? Or a bit harsh?
He's been the weak link. Put too much pressure on the other batsmen. He's done well with 48, but he has to find a single here or there.

Finally! Nice 50 by Nash, was painting himself into a corner. Couldn't afford to get out to a rash shot after getting bogged down for over an hour.

Alright, I suppose the review system is useful in some circumstances.
No suppose about it really. That decision was the difference between a loss and a possible win. For all the complaints there is a series on the line here.

Eff that. Other guys should just stay there and wait for the bad balls. There's a whole day more to get the runs if you keep your wicket.

Not at all, he doesn't have to slog. Just find a single every so often. You could see the effect it had on Deonarine. A wicket was coming once Nash got bogged down.

Adding to this though, it's very important for him to relay this message to his partner to keep reinforcing the idea of the pressure being on the bowlers to get them out rather than the other way around. It doesn't really work if Deonarine/Bravo/whoever just think Nash has no clue and is going to get out any minute.

Watto for MOTS, surely?

Do wonder why suddenly every now and again he gets so in the face of the batsmen and goes OTT. Usually I love the way he is on the field. Mind you, he has had masses of ridiculousness from the WI while he was batting this series, perhaps that's it. No excuse though.

Yeah nobody has ever done anything that outrageous on the cricket field before.
There's a reason why people who do stupid **** once in life get more lenient sentences then serial offenders.

Watson is the biggest dick in intl cricket, and backs it up every session of cricket he plays. He doesn't do one dumbarse thing, he does many.

He also cries.

Good player though.

I think it is ok to want him to score more singles but there are times you can't. It was Deonarine who lacked composure by going for shots when runs were not being scored. It isn't a one day game where you HAVE to get runs all the time.

That's because their mental fortitude left them. Nash is getting runs now isn't he? Waited for the bad ball, made use of it and runs are coming now.

Nice shot by Ramdin. If Nash rotates the strike and Ramdin comes up with shots like that every so often the pressure will be right back on Oz.

That's Deonarine's fault though. If you let the run-rate get to you in a situation where it's completely irrelevant, you're lacking in temperament and it's entirely your fault if it gets you out. If he'd shown the mental strength Nash has he'd still be out there and the bowlers would be getting frustrated with the lack of progess and starting to try new things.

^agreed lol at the people saying he is costing his team the game. What about Dowlin, Gayle, Sarwan and Bravo? (only talking about the 2nd innings of course) he has more runs than them combined

Not rating McKay in this innings at all.

Bowl short and straight with no fielders on the leg side. Bowling like an idiot.

I don't think that was the case though, no chance of a single for 70 mins? I think Nash slowly backed himself into a corner by not scoring. After 20-30 minutes of not scoring, you look very silly if you go out to a rash shot. Plays on your mind and makes you more tentative.

Deonarine didn't lack composure, but he probably was thinking that one of them has to get a run somewhere.

Rotating the strike works. Pressure does build up otherwise. Regardless of how many days you've got to get the runs. You want to keep the momentum, not hand it to the opposition without them having to do much at all.

Nash is back scoring freely now anyway
