If a non religous guy had said that they were lucky to be saved by the rain gods no body would have even raised an eyebrow but since Yousuf has an outwardly religous personality this makes it easier for others to bash him on his Allah saved us comment.

If Mo Yo was someone who left every thing on fate then he would still be cleaning floors somewhere in Lahore like his father rather then being one of the best modern day batsman.

I dont think Faisal was bashing religion..he was just saying and I agree that the team and the captain needs to get a grip of themselves, take control and be determined to succeed rather than bat lazily and then wait for Allah to send rain.

That's his point though. Just because he mentioned Allah it doesn't mean he's leaving everything up to Him. Its not as if our players did nothing, captain included.

He didnt exactly compare him with Marshal..he said Sami had that natural pace and flair like Marshal..and has tremendous potential. Lot of us thought so too when we saw him in New Zealand in 2003 but the problem is he has no brains and although he has the natural ability to bowl fast, he cant use it

I think Imran mentioned the similarity in that they both skid the ball to the batsman. But Sami, as far as I know, can't seem to swing it consistently.

He would not do worse then Misbah/Malik with the bat and more importantly would allow Aamir/Asif and Gul to get a breather.

That is one of the better teams in world cricket I'd say. Personal preference would have put the Test retired Afridi in ahead of Kaneria on most tracks for a longer tail but otherwise its great. The two weaknesses are the opening and the tail. Probably the best bowling outfit in the world though.
