Thanks. Not to minimize, but does that seem an armband too far?
Depends mate. My parents divorced when I was 4 - my grandparents and mother raised me. When my grandfather passed away, it's fair to say I was pretty cut up.

Understandably but Im not sure a black armband for an entire national team is the right way to go with this.

IMO black armbands are for cricket related deaths, those of national significance and those from disasters.

True and "good on" Smith and the team. However, (again, not to minimize), in a sense it's a national uniform. Where does one draw the line? I suppose the player in question and the team decide on the day and that's the end of it.

Happened a while ago with Brett Lee's grandmother IIRC. Seems slightly odd for the whole team do it rather than just the one player, but I guess it's a nice way of showing support for your teammate and in this case captain.

Not Terrible
England at $7 seems a bit steep considering the SA attack and the lack of tail they have. Wouldn't be too surprised if an early wicket comes they collapse for less than 350.

Yeah $7 sounds tempting at first, but don't forget South Africa have

Friedel,Friedel, Friedel, with Friedel you shall pay..about $7 and not be too confident of an English win.

almost chocked on my breakfast listening to Ottis Gibson on sky. He was asked about fitness and said that it was cramp yesterday and that even the fittest players can cramp up. Seem to have short memory span these english.

Hmm, was just typing a post about how we didn't look like getting a wicket and then boom, Jimmeh gets Kallis. Hope this gets them going and they pick up a couple more quickly. Could really do with bowling them out for under 350.

I reckon it's on. The tail is really bad. I don't think I've ever seen a South African team with such a lack of multi-skilled cricketers - the eighth best batsman is Morne Morkel is the fifth best (fit) bowler is JP Duminy. Gone are the days of Hall batting nine with Boje at 10, or Kallis being the sixth bowler.
