Would drop Chapeeli from that list and put Kanhai at first drop.Believe it would have better balance.Bedi over Underwood definitely more versatile...Big Garth over Pollock because he could bowl at same pace all day..A real workhorse a Captain could rely upon

Loving that XI. Forget spin bowlers (highest ranked was Abdul Qadir at #9 FTR), wouldn't need one with a bowling line-up like that. Marshall, Akram, Hadlee and Imran Khan, that's ridiculously good. Bat really deep with Richard Hadlee at 9 as well. Even the players just outside the team were awesome as well, with guys like Allan Border, Dilip Vengsarkar and Dean Jones up there in the batting rankings, and then Courtney Walsh, Kapil Dev, Terry Alderman, Merv Hughes and Curtley Ambrose just outside the top 4 bowling options.

Abdul Qadir in ahead of higher ranked bowlers cause we need a spinner. Hell of a tail though, and even Qadir at 11 is no mug. Cheers mate. Fell into the trap of under-rating Garth, like so many have in the past I think.

Was a real toss-up between Underwood and Bedi for the spinning role, likewise Chappell and Kanhai at 3.

Out of interest, I'd like to hear form JBMAC and SJS as to their thoughts on Kanhai as a player, not just in relation to this discussion vs Chappelli, but in general.
