I read it but it wouldn't let me post a reply.

It was a pretty good read tbh :p
Wouldnt it?

No idea why, I shall play with it and in all probability break it.

Cheers for reading btw. I've had it in red lettering in my sig in the hopes of attracting attention. :p

EDIT: Comments worked for me.

When it says Open ID you should be able to post by just typing in a random name right?

Yeah. But having seen him bowl live and seeing that he averaged 21 in FC cricket in South Africa I was happily wowed. Looking at his record now it doesn't look as good as we thought it was.
In amateur cricket. Wagner never played franchise (professional) cricket for the Titans.

Am over Chris Martin btw. Sick of seeing both his 35 Test Average and all three stumps.

Guys stop fighting ok. its not like they're 500/0. it's just a century partnership on a flat wicket. the bowlers are doing a good job out there. its hasnt been easy but keep faith in our bowlers ok.

ps- flem, great blog mate. keep it coming.
Your posts make me giggle, DingDong. And I dont mean that in a 'bad' way at all.

Can farhat get two centuries back to back in a single test? :-O none of the nz bowlers looks like they can take a wicket on this flat pitch

Despite the teasing Howsie gets on here for his love of young fast bowlers I have to say he does have a valid point in there somewhere. How many bowlers debut bowling 125-130 kmph and have a successful test career? There probably are a rare few but I can't think of any. Those who have made a success of it were quicker for much of their careers, had gone past 'excellent' and come out the other side - eg. McGrath, Hadlee, Vaas.

As for who would do better out of Bennett/ Wagner vs Thompson/ Shaw if they debuted - I don't know (not least because I've hardly seen any bowling from any of them ) but they'd probably all struggle and really it's not that important a discussion for now. Arnel next in line after Southee.

FTR, totally agree with 99*'s post on the fruitlessness of disecting our bowling lineup when batting is a vastly larger problem, and with Bahnz' post saying that this has only suddenly become a discussion point because Napier is a road and our bowlers have done perfectly well recently.
