Seems like she has improved and is doing much better now and they aren't going back home. Good for the brothers.

Also found this on Stuff website. Odd wording, but it is Jonathan Millmow...

The good player, Martin Guptill, is shifting down to first drop and Daniel Flynn is reverting to No5, where he began his international career and where he looked every inch a quality player.

Selector Mark Greatbatch said Flynn and Grant Elliott would contest the No5 position, which was a broad hint that New Zealand will play two spinners and three quicks in Napier.

Don't want two spinners tbh. The current three seamers plus Southee if you're going to shuffle Vettori up to six.

Grant Elliott as thrid seamer? No thanks.

Looks like Elliott would be 4th seamer if he plays, not 3rd.

The fact that Patel can bat better than any of our seamers makes the idea of dropping a batsman for a bowler more palatable. Not sure on the idea myself - I guess it depends on the Napier pitch and other's will know more about that than me.

Jeets looked the best bowler we had when we had that draw vs. India.
Still he couldn't bowl them to victory.

Any other game he has looked the best or is this a once off? And when you say 'looked the best' did you mean to imply a double meaning?

B Martin bowling right arm would be a better prospect than Dave.

A tail of Jeets, Tuffey, O'Brien and Martin is sheer lunacy.

Expect to see it in operation by Friday.
Yes, it is - clearly some sort of reverse psychology - pile even more pressure on our crumbling top order in the hope that it counterintuitively performs better.

Or you can go with the defeatist 'Elliott/Flynn (whichever is dropped) wouldn't have scored any more runs than Patel anyway' justification.

Pick one :)

Both Napier matches in recent times. And GAGFC

KARACHI: Controversy seems to have struck Pakistan cricket again following sensational reports that pacers Umar Gul and Mohammad Aamer got engaged in a scuffle after the second Test against New Zealand ended in Wellington on Sunday.

According to TV reports, the Pakistan team management found both Gul and Aamer guilty of breaching the code of conduct and opted to slap heavy fines on the two players.

However, team manager Abdul Raqib said, on Monday, that the reports were untrue saying the atmosphere in his dressing room was completely cordial.

Earlier, reports claimed that Gul and Aamer had a fight soon after Pakistan beat New Zealand by 141 runs in second Test to square the series. The reports, however, did not give details of the scuffle. It was claimed in the reports that both the players were fined Rs. 200,000 each by the team management.

The reports have added fuel to speculations that there are rifts within the Pakistan team. Before the tour of New Zealand, Pakistan regular captain Younis Khan pulled out of the series against New Zealand saying that he had lost the support of his own players. Currently, senior batsman Mohammad Yousuf is leading Pakistan against the Kiwis.

Pakistan lost the first Test in Dunedin but bounced back with a series-equalling win in Wellington where pacer Mohammad Asif and Danish Kaneria were the heroes for the tourists.

Fulton on being dropped, being caught on the crease and being confused about whether to refer or not.

Fulton gets the door-knock all players dread | Stuff.co.nz

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
His provincial coach, Bob Carter, was at a loss to understand why Fulton had been made the scapegoat.

"If they had made three or four changes, that would seem to make sense. Why make one? I was surprised by that," Carter said. "If there had been a number of changes, then Peter's dropping would've been easier to take."
I knew that Peter and his supporters were going to be left with this feeling.

As Strawman said earlier Fulton was the most logical cut to make. But with the other fab 4 having similar results the casualty in the circumstance is going to think why me.

I am not promoting Fulton's case I am just pointing out the emotional factors at play.

The saddest part about this is that it's not really big news at all. Pakistan have much bigger problems than team-mates having a heated disagreement.

Unbelievable.

Wouldn't go near Patel unless it looks absolutely certain to turn big (which Napier pitches do on occasions). Just feel that an ordinary off-spinner like Patel will be meat & drink for players like Yousuf, Shoaib & the Akmal bros who thrive against spin, unless he gets significant assistance. If we were playing against the likes of England or SA, wouldn't mind Patel so much.

Lol if we want it to be interesting we could pick Nethula. 3/70 off ten overs ftw.
Haha, yeah noticed he can be massively expensive, but does take the odd wicket mind. His overall FC econ is a shade below 4s which suggests to me hes a leggy who lacks control but at least he has a SR in the 60s, as opposed to Vettori & Patel who are 70s & 80s respectively at FC level. Have you ever seen Nethula bowl?

Nah but he sounds like good fun. Gets hit but gets lots of wickets.

Dunno about that, you'd think the same against India but SJS and other Indian posters were saying how he was our best bowler.
