I wanted Katich to push a single for Watson in the last over. They ran a 4 instead and ran a two. Don't see why they couldn't have ran a three instead just by taking it easy. Or why they couldn't have ran a single instead of a two just by stopping running after the first one. I know every run is important. But there is an exception to every rule and Aussie were on 170 odd.

What's the rush?

No 'i' in team, etc. If Watto got out going for his hundred, would have been so damn stupid. At least now Eastern states viewers of 9 will see it. :D Headed to the ground myself so I will too (hopefully)!

It seems weird that subcontinental pitches cop so much flak when Australian pitches are just as flat, if not worse.
I actually don't mind the occasional flat track.

Traditionally in Australia the tracks have been:

Gabba - good for quicks, green tinge in the wicket and enough humidity to extract swing
Adelaide - the road of Australian pitches. Good batting deck that used to result in draws (until McGrath/Warne put an end to that)
MCG - well balanced pitch that provides something for everyone
SCG - spinners track
WACA - seamers delight
Bellrieve - road

I actually really enjoy that mix of pitches. Unfortunately the better bowling tracks have been becoming flatter in the 00s.

The WACA is unfortunately a road now as well since SA 05/06.

But overall the KEY difference between roads in AUS than IND is that the bounce is consistent. Generally in IND the bounce isn't even.

Bring back the early 1980's MCG tracks. Bouncers scurrying through at ankle height, and half volleys almost decapitating the batsman.

What a terrible shot by Watto.

**** Ch9 pisses me off. Why did they have to show the end of the today show or whatever it's called on the weekend. Means we missed the first ball so the first thing we see is Watson misses a ball he should have just played straight.

Still a 96 brings his average almost up to Mitchell Johnson's now.

Kemar Roach is in the middle of a very good spell at the moment. Would not surprise me to see him get a wicket shortly.

Hating the referral system so far. Think we say so far that this system has added more negatives than any benefits. As was always the case, it's a massive over reaction to the Aus-Ind SCG test of a couple of years ago.
