As the post implies, I love explosive players/ express fast bowlers who intimidate with pace and I mostly selected individuals who have won matches on their own in the past.

1) Wright
2) Gayle
3) Dravid
4) Tendulkar
5) Dean Jones (Not my favourite player personality wise)
6) Graham Hick
7) Hadlee
8) K Dev
9) Vettori
10) I Smith
11) D Morrison

I voted for Dean Jones reluctantly because he is a quality batsman. But in Richard Hadlees testimonial game which was supposed to be about honouring Hadlee. He charged down the pitch and smashed hadlee over the top. Which I thought was embarrassing for Hadlee. And bad manners by Jones. If it had've been a regular game it would have been ok.

I thought he meant live at a game. I would have picked a far different team otherwise. I had to go with Danny Morrison one of my players. Aussie can you clarify?

Nasser Hussain
Shane Watson
Alec Stewart
Andrew Flintoff
Graham Napier
Graeme Swann
Darren Gough
Jimmy Anderson

By live meaning in all the years you all respectively would have started watching cricket to now. You would seen the player either on TV in a live match or at a ground. Bullet..

Very wise to include TV. I did a "Seen them in the flesh XI" thread a couple of years ago and the majority on here had never been to a First Class Cricket match.

3. Richards V
4. Tendulkar
5. McEwan
6. Greig
7. Knott
8. Boyce
9. Lillee
10. Thomson
11. Underwood

Haa. Thats criminal if thats true. Although i'll admit i haven't gone to a FC match, List A or domestic T20 for Lancashire since 2006. No exciting players on domestic circuit to see in this country..

Too many allrounders tbh. Should really have Chopra, Ganga or Dippenaar in for someone there, but I can't bring myself to drop anyone.

Never understood people that go to watch players rather than watch the team or the sport. However, given the celeb culture we live in I guess I am in the minority (though of course that has been around in one form or another since Grace or even before). I still laugh at the famous occasion when Afridi got a duck and 9/10ths of the crowd just left.

It is a pretty alien concept to me given it is a team game.
