Really really wonderful match, I thought the Akmal brothers had it. As soon as O'Brilliant got his finger dislocated you could see the determination in his face. One of the best Tests I've ever watched.

Well done to Pakistan, great fighting effort, Aamer, Asif and Umar have a lot to be proud about.

Good to have you back Bond. Some tremendous bowling in these last two days.
Reckon the 2 Akmal bro's, Aamer & Gul have more heart than the rest of the Pakistani squad put together

There is all this talk of having two tiers of test cricket. If Bangladesh got stood down I wouldn't mind seeing more games between the 5-8th ranked teams in the world. As long as we still got to play the top ranked teams from time to time.

Also is Bond the best catcher off his own bowling of all fast bowlers? He takes so many screamers.

For me, I would not have a problem with Ireland getting Test cricket one day, but provided they never played against the big boys, until they can prove they can. So if it means sticking with Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, so be it, because it would be pointless them getting smashed by Australia. Anyway that is a different topic.

Disappointed the next test match is at the Cake tin, prefer seeing New Zealand play at cricket grounds. Going look a bit silly with all the empty seats and a bit of a let-down after such a fantastic test.

My bad. Cricinfo had Westpac on series coverage, only on fixtures list they tell you it is at the Basin.

Lee is pretty excellent as well. You remember that catch he took off his own bowling to dismiss i think Andre Adams in the 2003 WC?

Great stats if only he had played more games instead of being in the ICL.

Never heard of GA Lohmann (Eng) I am ashamed to admit though.

CEH Croft (WI) - I remember him running into our umpire on purpose!
Despite the fact Lohmann did played on helpful decks, he was still the bowling genius of his age going by what's written of him

And his back injuries. Anyway I think New Zealand will keep the same Test for Wellington, and Mishbah will come in for Pakistan. I would like to see Tuffey play Test cricket again, but I think O'Brien did enough in the second innings to keep his spot.

Would have him and Lee as the top two probably.

Have only been following this game on Cricinfo, but what a cracker it was. Wish I could've watched some of it.

The only question I would say there is is whether one of the batsmen need to drop out for Tuffey if Elliott is still unable to contribute much with the ball.
