23 sounds about right, which means Bond must have overtaken him some time ago. That's odd because his longest run was 23 innings, and that from the start of his career.
Seems quite a low figure to be a record though and I can't find anything on cricinfo which records it.
Or bowlers will have one of those innings where they can't buy a wicket.23 sounds about right, which means Bond must have overtaken him some time ago.
Doesn't surprise me the figures are low like this for bowlers, because invariably the opposition will have a small chase where bowler's will just get a couple of overs in the innings
R/R has hardly got out of control, so I'm not sure what use Oram would be. The pressure is off simply because Bond is not bowling but its not like Pakistan are going at anything more than a snails pace. No need to worry yet, if after lunch they safely see out Bond, then worry.Letting the pressure off once again. This is where an Oram would come in handy, or even a Redmond.

Just had a look at some other bowlers - Murali has had three different streaks in which he has broken the 32 mark. These are innings in which he has actually bowled, so there might possibly be innings in these sequences where he didn't bowl and so the streak was broken.23 sounds about right, which means Bond must have overtaken him some time ago.

Vettori, surely?Agree with what Bryan Waddle is saying on Radio Sport, we're really a bowler short and missing someone like Oram who can tie up an end.
He's been getting milked fairly easily so farVettori, surely?
I think Oram probably would be too though tbh. He's been getting milked fairly easily so far
Half of a spin bowlers attack. has to be his field. He's been getting milked fairly easily so far
Agree, he's been overly defensiveHalf of a spin bowlers attack. has to be his field.
And I feel like Vettori has his field wrong. He has set it for Umar. And is not really adjusting it that much for Malik. I think he also needs to challenge Umar to go over the top a little bit by bringing more men in. Bringing men in could back fire so you would only try it for an over or two.
