Hughes is in some good form.
Over 15.6: Knowles to Hughes, FOUR, driven back past the stumps this time, excellent batting from Hughes
Over 15.5: Knowles to Hughes, FOUR, strides forward this time and cracks it through the covers
Over 15.4: Knowles to Hughes, FOUR, given width once more and he obliges with another elegant stroke
Over 15.3: Knowles to Hughes, FOUR, excellent cut shot behind point

WA need to bring back Pomersbach

George really the most effective player on the park by a mile. 8/84 against a side that made nearly 400, 11 wickets in a match where 24 wickets were taken in the whole thing speaks volumes.

How quick is he?

Is Peter George related to Shane George?

So many exciting young quicks in the country at the moment.

They were both my age, George missed out on the WC squad because he wasn't as consistent and couldn't field. Was a big lanky unco-ordinated fellow still growing into his body at that age.

Cutting is tall, but a bit skiddy because he has a sort of slingy action, reaches right back with his bowling arm. He was a bit quicker than George at that age, but I found George more awkward to face.

Damien smith at 4 and moises henriques at 6,is stu clark trying to lose this, warner and steve smith yet to bat.
Have no idea how you could come up with this batting line up,obviously clark doesn't rate warner or smith.

Yeah I thought the website had made a mistake when Daniel Smith walked out at number 4.

I would have went: 3 Rohrer 4 Khawaja 5 SSmith 6 Warner 7 Henriques 8 DSmith.

Pretty good comeback from Knowles yesterday after getting some tap from Hughes. Decent bowler when he has some rhythm up. Looking like a good pick up for WA, an extra bowler to compliment Dorey, Magoffin and Noffke (when fit). Be nice to see him make some more runs for WA, vic_orthdox can attest that he was a useful batsman for Camberwell. I believe he made a couple of centuries at club level.

You are probably right Sylvester, but correct them from what, he came in with the scores almost level and 8 wickets in hand!

What's happened to Ryan Broad by the way?

Dave Warner for the Test team please.

Fair play to Henriques for making an impact with both bat and ball this game. Really needs to start converting those starts though. I make that his 4th FC half century, and he has had numerous 20's-30's. He has obvious ability with the bat, but I think the time is right to ask more of him.

Seems Dan Smith was actually better than those batters anyway :p At least Henriques is making 50s, better than the 20-30s he was making before.

Big Doug Bollinger having a good day. 12th man for the Test winning side, and ripping through the Western Australian lineup in Perth.
