What about the fact that he pretty much had him LBW twice? It's not really a weakness, though. If you bowl in that area and get big seam movement away, you're going to trouble just about any batsman in the game, especially at pace. That's the good. However, it's a really tough thing to do consistently unless your surname is McGrath. That's the bad. If you're relying on beating batsmen with big movement all the time, you're going to have more bad than good days, blokes like Ponting are going to monster you and you're going to wish you kept your mouth shut.
That said, if Roach is able to back up what he has said with wickets, good on him. He certainly does look very good.
Oh, and if you don't think that North pulls the ball, Taaahny Greig, then maybe you should watch - oh, I don't know - him play an innings before in Test cricket?!What about the fact that he pretty much had him LBW twice?
I dont buy this nor what Nicholas & Chappel are on about "enough evidence to overturn the on-field umpires decision".Reckon that it probably wasn't out to be honest. Needed to see the edge of the bat at some stage on the hot spot camera to see that it was completely blank, as it was facing away from the camera. Probably not enough evidence to overturn it, but expecting the complaints to start.
