Have been really impressed with Asif, think he's the straightest bowler I've seen since Stuart Clark.

Credit to McIntosh. Did really well.

If I'd got a first-baller in the first innings, being on 0 for half an hour in the second innings would really get to me.

Taylor really started batting quite well after that ball that almost went straight into Asif's hands. McIntosh has been impressive as well. Happy with 68/2 after that terrible start.

Polo does come up with some bizarre views on occasions, kind of getting used to it now
I have no idea what you are talking about.

No where did I defend Taylor's shot (in fact if you care to go through previous NZ test match threads i've said on numerous occasions that Taylor should never play that horrible slog ever again in any form of cricket). I simply gave you the reason the commentators were going on about it, however I never stated my own personal opinion.

This is the thing with McIntosh that's plagued him throughout his first class career. He is atrocious early on in his innings, and it seems to take him longer to get his eye in than most... but once he does... well, he's scored a number of large hundreds in his time, hasn't he.

Thus endeth my guaranteed hex on McIntosh ;)

Franklin has that same problem but to a lesser extent. Most of his hundreds for Wellington have seen him take a long time to get off the mark, but as soon as he crosses 40 he seems set for a big one.

If McIntosh gets a 100, I don't care how long it takes for him to get his eye in. BTW congratulations on being a CW Staff Member Athlai. Been there, done that

Taylor's never gotten a duck in test cricket? Wow, never would've expected that.

Taylor may be incredibly frustrating at times and may ride his luck a fair bit, but he is still the man. If Flynn hadn't gotten out when he did we'd be lucky to be 40/1 right now.

Edit: And would I be saying otherwise right now if he'd been bowled or caught when slogging that 6 earlier? Why yes, yes I would ;)

Run out.......... FFS

Fulton and Elliott need to show why they were selected here. Even another 100-120 runs would give us a decent chance of winning the match.

I'd say in that run out McIntosh is at fault because he was ball watching from the non-strikers end. Taylor calls no, then looks at his partner and sees him a third of the way down so decides to go for it. McIntosh doesn't budge and Taylor takes the run out. Sharp fielding though.

Bye bye Fulton.

*sigh*
