Nice commentary from Ravi Shastri. Harbhajan pats Sreesanth on the head and hugs him. Ravi says "He is used to the hand, but this time in an affectionate manner".

Good to see Sree get some wickets.... He bowls very well when on song... just completely loses it sometimes.
Need Ishant to find some form as well.

4 wickets to genuine pace bowling and 1 wicket now to good spin bowling... I don't think one can ask for more from the pitch. Also Indians have managed more maidens than SL did in their entire quota of overs. I agree the last test was a dead pitch match and it must be ridiculed. However in this test match India has been brilliant with the bat while Sri Lankan bowlers were awfully poor including Murali by his own great standards. Most of the guys here have been too quick to jump onto the "stupid subcontinent dead pitch" bandwagon and as I said yesterday atleast we could have waited till the SL innings.

International 12th Man
Disounting the fact that he was dropped on zero of course

I presume that if that sitter been taken, the debate would've been settled in the other's favour
Well Mahela Jayawardene was also given a life first ball he faced. And just now, another one.

It was a flat pitch but probably not as flat as the last one obviously..... Batting was good and 3 spinners bowling on the opening day made it seem worse.
I agree with you R_D. I think many people just read the scorecard and decided, "Well, top 3 hundreds! RR of 4.5! Murali going at 5 per over!" and jumped to concluding that it is a flat bed. The truth is that Sri Lanka missed a trick by going in with 3 finger spinners and just one fast bowler. Chanaka Welegedara bowled superbly in the first test first morning but it is asking too much of him to be the only genuine pace bowler in the side. I think perhaps SL underestimated Indian batsmen and forgot that they are master players to realise from their earlier mistakes and adapt quickly. The third spinner Mendis was reduced to play bowling out the overs and it did not help Murali had an offday.

Fact is SL fast bowlers sucked and when Sehwag got going they lost all the confidence.

India is just better team right now.
