Anyone else disagreeing with McMillan about what would be a good score here? I mean clearly we still need 300-350 at least but the uneven bounce has me thinking that would be a good score.
What did McMillan say?

300 imo. With our bowling attack and how this pitch is behaving 300 should be a pretty good score. The Pakistan batting line-up isn't that flash either (in terms of experience).

Its good to be agressive n all but Aamir should know he is not just a one trick pony he should focus on getting the batsman out which he can do rather then just trying to scare them out.I guess he will learn with expierence.:)

Gutted Taylor missed out but from 2/20 odd it was a good knock. He's getting better at coming in early, sadly out of lots of practice.

How did Fulton look? I missed a lot of play as i haven't seen a ball since tea until now.

To be blunt, average. His footwork was horrible.

The TAB have finally launched the next man out betting option.
I have placed $5 on Vettori to get out next as McCullum is playing some good leaves at the moment.

In other news I am dissapointed to come home and find us 6 down after it seemed we were going nicely before I left the office.

Congrats to Taylor for a nice knock. I am sure that if had gotten out for 10 or 15 runs that Scaly would have appeared to make some comment about him.

Never been much of a feet mover. Not too much of a concern if he can make it work (Ryder and Guptill), 29 is a start but needs to go on.

I really hope he comes good because he can bat, luckily for him Ryder will probably take Elliotts spot on return so he'll get more of a run.

Have a horrible feeling he'll go the Sinclair route though.

He looked far worse then Guptill or Ryder do though, atleast they don't go back to balls they should go forward to.

Not going to dispute that because I missed a lot of his innings, but I will be gutted if a guy with his FC and NZ A record goes to pot

Was all at sea for his first half hour, from then on he looked okay. Started timing the ball well but he still wasn't moving his feet enough. Basically allowed the Pakistani bowlers to work him over in the end.

all 3 fast bowlers had a dropped catch shows the extra struggle that a Pakistani seamer goes through

Is there any other batting all rounder in the country we could have played at 6 instead of Elliot. I thought he was a good choice until I found out they won't be bowling him.
It just seems like with Bond being fragile and Vettori nursing an injury or two - that having a part timer who can get through 10 overs a day in the side would be helpful.

Yeah the biggest difference between how Ryder Guptill and Fulton have played at this level is that Ryder and Guptill move forward and are willing to attack the bowlers. Fulton doesn't seem to have the confidence yet to attack at international level, which is a shame because he is a monster of a man.

Lol @ Waqar & Crowe kissing each others butt in the comm box. Waqar's just finished telling Crowe that he found him the hardest batsman to dismiss.

Franklin would be the automatic answer but he is injured. Oram and Styris have given up Tests. Williamson is too young.

Ryder can get through 10 overs as well but hes out too.

Guptill and Taylor aren't the worst and could probably get through some cheap and very bland overs.
