Nethula taking a hammering here, Chris Harris must be going after him as he's currently 31 of 31.

Southee with seven now, 7/24. Broom 154*, his highest FC score.

Edit: Make that eight, 8/27.

2nd best innings figures in NZ FC history.

(Wiseman took 9)

Took the silver medal from O'Brien who had 8/55

Probably not the only thing he'll end up taking from O'Brien.

Otago killing CD here.

Time to go bowler pinching methinks. Tim Southee will play for the BCs too much but Brent Arnel would be nice. :p

The thing about ND's bowling attack is that they haven't really had to use all of their NZ under 19 prospects. Anurag Verma and Andrew Matheison are both in the A team at the moment and I'm expecting them to play for New Zealand at some point in their careers, both are very talented young bowlers.

We do need some batsmen though.

Last time I saw him he was average medium pace. You've seen more of him than me probably, how much has he improved since that U19 world cup side played together?

Andrew Matheison...he's touted as a genuine quick isn't he? Or have I mixed players up? Do you like him because he's fast or because he's fast and good? :p

Verma would still only be around 130-135k, but he's bloody accurate. He was quite young when he played in that world cup, I think he was only 17 at the time it was played. The times talked him up about a year back and his first XI coach (i think) said he reckons he's capable of being a 145+ bowler (this was around the time of that WC).

Matheison for the most part is a pretty good bowler, he's tall and he swings it pretty well. I don't know how quick he's bowling now but he was mid 130's a year or so back irrc. Bradburn rates him pretty highly though.

ND are certainly a bowler factory, so they're in the right place. *Cynical mode* If they were at CD Verma would still be bowling 130 and Matheison would get murdered in session two at Napier..
