Jeez Northern has a good team this match. Wellington on the otherhand looks quite poor. Need Brodie and Merchant to score some serious runs here.

Southee and Arnel both bowled really well, Southee got quite a few play and misses. Judging from my eye Southee looked quicker then Arnel, which was quite surprising. Josh Brodie doesn't look half bad though.

One edge that went through the slips/gully area but other then that he was quite solid.

Interesting to see Chris Harris selected for Canterbury - obviously with Fulton's absense leaving a gap in the middle order. I say interesting though, with his last first class match back in March 2007...

Hes just taken Brodie's wicket for 73, so very impressive from Southee so far.

Mason's nothing but decent these day's, and Thompson while not bad isn't flash or anything. The rest of the attack is just meh.

Wouldn't forget Scott either but probably not most international teams, still a top domestic attack though.


Wellingtons would be Franklin, Gillespie, O'Brien, McKay, Patel
Canterburys would be Bond, Martin, doesnt matter those two are awesome.

Anyhow anyone know why Wagner isn't playing? Has he been dropped, or is he injured.

100 for Papps, Mybrugh's also in the 90's. Haig and Broom are going along very nicely also.

The bowling behind Thommo and Mason is generally poor these days with injuries and little depth abound, but Jeremy Kuru in just his second FC match has 17 for 1 off 9, which compared to his team mates is good. Hoping he continues the good work.
