Mosies is back, reckon they should have given him the captaincy. Interesting to see Warner prefer to Thornely in FC. A tad surprised they didn't mark his papers in limited overs cricket and give Khawaja a shot. Smith the only spinner in both squads, though with the matches played at Perth that is to be expected.

Will be interesting to see what batting line ups we come up with. Hopefully they give Smith and Henriques a shot up the order in both formats.

NSW one-day squad: Stuart Clark (capt), Burt ****ley, Phillip Hughes, Moises Henriques, Josh Hazlewood, Phil Jaques, Dominic Thornely, Grant Lambert, Steven Smith, Daniel Smith (wk), Ben Rohrer, David Warner.

NSW Sheffield Shield squad: Stuart Clark (capt), Burt ****ley, Phil Hughes, Moises Henriques, Josh Hazlewood, Phil Jaques, Uzman Khawaja, Grant Lambert, Steven Smith, Daniel Smith (wk), Ben Rohrer, David Warner

Thornley getting dropped from the Shield team at the start of the season was a ****ing disgrace. I've never been a huge fan of him but he averages 43 in First Class cricket and hasn't averaged below 42 in a season since 2003-04 (which was his debut season in which he only played six games, anyway).

Rohrer and Khawaja have similar FC records last season, so it was kind of made sence. Still would have gone for Thornley over Rohrer. You can't even justify the selection with youth focus in mind. Rohrer is only three years younger. But for Warner to jump ahead of him is a disgrace.

Would have no problem dropping him completely from ODs and T20s, as he has underperformed for years in those formats. Anyway regardless of his batting he should make the squad as a front line spinner. Bat him at 8 or 9 if you want. Clearly the selectors are trying to keep Warner in NSW for his OD batting, even if it means a lower standard FC batting line up.

Well not really because neither of those guys had done for seven seasons - they'd done it for half a season. Khawaja I can understand to an extent but although I like Rohrer, he's not a better batsman than Thornely and never will be, plus you're taking some valuable experience away that could help out a young team.

Yeah, I support the decision to drop him from the OD team, even though he had a pretty good last season. He's always been an over-rated OD batsman.

Thornley is hard done by.
But warner is the future and i guess there a fear to lose him interstate or to ipl.
That 90 in the futures cup helped,he took a wkt too.
Rohrer better hitter than thornley.
Charminda on questionable selections we lost a one dayer too tas,and have no points from 2 games, despite the talent of the side looks like we headed for the woooden spoon.

Bowling looks light for both squads. We have ****ley, Clark, Hazelwood with Smith, Henriques and maybe Lambert. Doesn't really have the strike power, it's a shame that Starc got injured as he did add a bit more to the attack. Bird should be in the FRC team unless he isn't fit or his action is causing him problems.

He probably is. I just remember how good he was at the end of the season before last and he hasn't done much since.

If anyone's not watching, McGrath's over to Warner was just fantastic stuff with the microphone on. Just did a number on him. Brilliant. What a cricketer.

Mick Clarke is the worst T20 player in Aus's top 7. Seriously. Should not be in the side, let alone captain.

EDIT: Considering the bowling attack, if OZ lose this game, it'll be more than a bit embarrassing.
