**Official** Pakistan in New Zealand (3 tests)

Shane Bond has taken 6 wickets in the match against Otago so far and has bowled 34 overs. Do you select him for the first test?
Including taking McCullum's wicket twice - bet Brendon's less than impressed about that. I'd select him, if we're worried about his well-being hes just as likely to injure himself playing three tests than he is in four-five first class fixtures over the same time period IMO.

Take that Franklin. Would swap Flynn and Fulton otherwise it looks great. Tuffey must feel close to the side too.

Somewhat surprised at Elliott's inclusion ahead of Franklin but otherwise a fairly predictable side named. As for the line-up, would continue with Flynn at three and drop Fulton to five as per Athlai's suggestion.

Agree with both those points, definitely Flynn at 3 but would actually be tempted bat Fulton 4 & Taylor at 5.

Wouldn't mind seeing Tuffey either, but suppose O'Brien deserves his spot based on the last couple of seasons. Either way, strongest bowling lineup we've had in a while.

I would like to see Flynn at 6 permanently. Less pressure there. That said they like him at 3 so it is most likely that Fulton will be a straight swap for Ryder at 5 (like others have said)
I guess Vettori voted for Elliott which is interesting. He is a batting all rounder which means that effectively we have 4 and 1/2 bowlers for the test. I guess with Franklin injured there was no choice. That will place some strain and pressure on Bond. Lets hope that Elliot can represent when it comes to bowling and that he can bowl economically and keep the pressure up even if it is just for his ten overs a day.

Interested to see if Fulton's footwork has improved. Really looking forward to see how Bondy goes again also.

One of the more interesting test series NZ has been involved in for a while imo.

Franklin played in the NZA game though. Did he injure himself AGAIN?
Unless he has an NZC contract then how is he going to make any money?

Injury prone
Not accurate enough for ODI's
Not accurate enough for 20/20
Money is made in the above formats - Styris and Oram have figured this out
NZ play stuff all Tests

The guy really has stuff all chance to make a living in this game. Perhaps he should retire into travel management.

If worst came to worst he could definitely become a professional county cricketer.
