It's live on Eurosport if you can get that. Egypt having all the ball and pressure, but only made one half-chance in the second period. Algeria had the best chance on the breakaway.

Very amusing watching the ref carefully check the number of each player before he brandishes a yellow card; he's utterly determined not to send anyone off. Think he fancies making it out of Sudan alive!

Yep should have scored. It's like a bad B movie with all exaggerated gestures. The way the players lie down and wait for the ambulance to come on when they've taken a slight knock.

Doyle should've scored. Claimed Gallas was holding him, but didn't even work the keeper with a header from five yards.

From a parochial note that was a lovely bit of skill from Sanga to turn Duff and set up Anelka. Happily the deflection took the ball wide tonight.

Yeah, away goals are counting double tonight.

&, as our esteemed criminal brethren will doubtless confirm, the Socceroos actually qualified for the last tournament by besting U-r-gay on spot kicks.

Portugal have scored in Bosnia, meanwhile. Boo, hiss, shame, etc.
