So with RVP out, will this increase the truth in the rumours of Wenger at signing Balotelli? I guess you need somebody to fill Adebayor's role. Inter will be signing Goran Pandev from Lazio anyway.
Not if we can get him for cheaper than the original figure I heard quoted. He's young though, always a positive with Wenger. With Chamakh out of contract in the summer we could check that avenue again and see if we could pick him up for a lesser fee.

Not sure tbh, if Van Persie is only out for two months then by the time the transfer window is open he will nearly be fit again, so might not be worth it. But the time between now and then is a concern, Bendtner being out along with Walcott means the only recognised striker left is the misfiring Eduardo...not sure how close Vela is to returning...so looks a bit dodgy at the moment. Really hope this isn't a season breaker.
Yeah, I think we'd cope with the injury alright if other options were all fit, I mean we score enough from elsewhere and creative enough chances, just with an out of form Eduardo being the only option at the moment, not good.

Rumour has it that Darren Ferguson is in line to become our new manager, w00t

Well that is good news for you lot:)

Peterborough have gone insane, got rid of a manager that's been one, if not the most, succesful in their history, to bring in a bloke who has never managed higher then the Conference. Really weird.

Yes, very strange. If it does come off tomorrow, I'll almost feel bad about the time I started a "you're **** and your dad's a ****" chant on the London Road terrace

Barry Fry is a tosser, hey

"...... as we forgive those who trespass against us....."

but only if our football club subsequently employs them

Steve Perryman once made rude signs at me and my mate when he was playing for Oxford. Now he's our Director of Football, so I guess he had no hard feelings.....

Jason McAteer once slated the whites in FourFourTwo, and gave us the Vs when playing for Blackburn. He's played for us and been our assistant manager since then. Oh wait, we still hate the ****. Nevermind.

Well there were reports that Wenger was looking at Toulouse striker Andre-Pierre Gignac (who scored 24 goals last season in Ligue 1) in the summer. Fits most of Wenger's criteria. French, and his mum is Franco-Algerian, so he has the African bit covered.

If nothing else, you probably to snare a lot of reserve and youth players on loan from Man Utd, well since his old man is manager there.

He didn't boss, all he did was start to play somewhere near to the potential he had when he started out. Granted he's had more than his share of terrible injuries over the years, but the fact is mentally he makes Rio look solid, thats why he's never cut it as a centre back, so gets shoved out right where he can use his skills in a more confined space. The problem is he offers jack all going forward, and we look a far worse team with him at RB than even an old Neviller.
I'm pretty happy with Brown considering he's our fourth centre-back. You don't expect him to stifle Brazil while playing out of position but he's as solid a backup-backup as you could hope for. He's not normally anywhere near as bad as he was yesterday by all accounts.

Indeed. Brown was very decent @ RB in early games for ENG under Capello, especially in that game in Croatia.

Yeah, he's OK as a 4th centre back for us, England right back though...... Then I suppose if Johnsons out its not his fault he's the next best despite not being capable enough (note, not capable, could be good enough, but heads up his arse and makes stupid mistakes)

His powers of concentration make Rio's look like a chess grandmaster's by comparison. I mean WTF was he doing chesting the ball yesterday? If in doubt, etc.
Maybe, but it doesn't scream "head up his own arse" to me that he makes more errors of judgment than most. Just screams "bit dozy". As does Rio's jaw.

We got shafted by a dodgy penalty on Saturday. In response to this, Les parry said the following:

Super Les Parry said:
I've got to be careful what I say because I'm still on physio's wages and if I get fined the kids won't eat for a week

Head up arse is the way he treats the club, and indeed his own body.

How many times has he requested a transfer now just to get a £20k wage rise? Twice i make it. Both times just after coming back from being nursed through serious injury.

His reputation off the pitch isnt exactly one of an athlete doing his best to look after his body either.......

Well Smitteh, Maicon has just a new contract with Inter, don't think he will be going to Citeh anytime soon.
