LOL he must have got out within a minute of your post!

I'm thinking SACA will be 3/80 at stumps from 21 overs.

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Over 0.3: Swan to Smith, no run, OUT, worked towards square leg, quick single attempted and the stumps are thrown down at the bowlers end by Townsend - SA 1/0

Well, aside from the run out which my prediction had absolutely nothing to do with and anyone who believes otherwise is certifiably insane, top start from SA.

EDIT: Literally two seconds after I posted that;

Over 13.3: Cutting to Harris, no run, OUT, drives in the air to mid off who takes the hard hit chance, excellent knock from Harris - 2/73 now a lead of 242

****ing ****balls and deathly **** hell.

Another good day for mighty redbacks, first innings points. Good to see that bowling attack do well getting them out for 308. O'Brien was gun..really impressed with him. Bailey bowled alright..needs to bowl quicker. Christian was excellent and George bowled pretty tight.

We are already 280 ahead, should bat through until like 10 or so overs before lunch and attempt to bowl them out. We should have hopefully 360 + on the board. Klinger on 58* already, very good to see..played some gun shots so far and could get a ton. Has his confidence back now :D

Hopefully George or Bailey for a 5 fer in the second innings, won't be easy with this depleted bowling attack.

Go the redbacks!

Where's TC when we need a SA wicket?

Seriously fast start to the day, SA definitely deserve the 6 points, I would be declaring as soon as Klinger gets to 100, currently 92* from 80 balls.

Edit - declared straight away. QLD needing 329 from 89 overs. game on!

bit strange to declare with someone 90-odd not out, not like he was going slowly.

Qld will get these I reckon, you know its a road with klinger striking at 115.

It's happened to Klinger before. Reiffel declared on him in Tassie years ago when he was 99*. Would have been his first Shield ton. You get the feeling a bloke like Klinger would take an outright over a ton, anyway.

QLD were missing one of their better bowlers, to be fair.

maybe, but its stick an excellent batting track, I don't see it giving enough to our bits n pieces attack to bowl qld out today, I may be wrong tho, especially if the qld batsmen continue to hand their wickets to our 'spinners.'

QLD just lost their second wicket, reckon they'll just put up the shutters now. Haberfield with both poles to fall this morning. Really like him, glad to see him doing well. Hope he picks up 5+ today. SA's most threatening bowler, tbh.

6 overs, 2/17 this morning. In this heat, that's decent.

Nicholas Kruger and Daniel Doran under enormous pressure to hold their spots one would have thought.

The later especially.

That he got picked at all is puzzling. Two spinners on Adelaide Oval is weird, would have thought Rimmington the higher percentage pick myself.

Need the wicket of Carseldine or Broad here, probably their two best batsmen.

QLD are 2/85 off 31 overs.

Was expecting the game to finish closer when play commenced today, either Queensland to come close, or be bowled out 10-15 runs shy. Shame about the dull result, some good batting though by some of the Bulls.

Ryan Broad having a pretty decent start to the season. He has his fans on this forum, be nice to see him finally realise some of his potential this season, possibly achieve a 700-800 run + season. Probably won't get him much closer to Australian selection considering the depth of opening batsman right now. I put Broad at maybe 6th in line for the opening batsman slot, when he would almost be an automatic pick for many international test lineups.

Yeah I'm glad though for QLD that we prevented SA from getting the 6 points. It grinds my gears that the game finishes 3 overs early. Someone like Haberfield had the chance of bowling 2 more overs and if he gets 2 wickets, well it's a 5-for.

It's interesting that you say 6th in line. I'm assuming you aren't include Hussey in the list because Katich, Watson, Hughes, Jaques, Rogers (and Hussey) are all clearly in front.

It's nice to see the likes of Robinson, Smith and Broad all going well and you can't forget the more experienced Jewell and Harris. Yep we've got some decent openers in Australia!

Both teams beaten by the pitch, tbh. Surprised it went on as long as it did, as much as Haberfield 5-fer would have made me smile.

Yeah true, didn't consider Hussey. Knowing the Australian selectors I'm sure Warner with a grand total of 1 FC game for NSW leads Broad for selection.
