I assume the order will be then:

Wilson
Devcich
Parlane
Flynn
Marshall
Williamson
McGlashan
Yovich
Scott
Aldridge
Arnel

Pretty batting heavy and the bowling bar Arnel is a bit meh. Scott is a good bowler but Yovich and Aldridge are limited in what they can do. Williamson is more than handy with a FC fifer I believe but that batting line up looks very heavy. Its not as though their lower order can't bat.

Depends on how much faith Bradburn has in Williamson as an allrounder I guess.

Not neccessarily. Oram and Mills are pretty beasty, but not express speedsters. Guess it depends on what he wants to do with his bowling.

Pretty gutted Anderson gave away the bowling. Being a batsman alone gives guys like Bracewell, Boam and *suck up* Jimmeh Neesham an advantage.

EDIT: Should say neglected. Still bowls.
Yeah, that is a shame. Especially if he's planning to bat in the 4/5/6 for NZ eventually, since two of those spots are taken and number 6 hopefully will be soon too (probably by someone who bowls a bit)

Of course I he wants to turn into a specialist opening bat or number 3 then there's always an available spot in the BCs to be filled

Well we just picked up our 3rd wicket
I knew as soon as I opened my mouth at Yovich, Aldridge and Scott in the same team they'd start kicking butt.

It is the Uni oval though, early season too. Would have been interesting to see them at Napier or Eden Park. Credit where it's due though, they're bowling well as a unit and pushing Otago on the backfoot.

Otago in trouble. Haig back in the shed for a duck. ope Rutherford kicks on in FC this season.
Will probably just be another benefit season for Cumming to be honest. Otago seem to have a fairly long tail with de Boorder at 6, McSkimming 7 and Wagner 8. Could be all out for less than 200 if this partnership doesn't get going.

I'd dare say had we been playing some where else, like Eden Park (Auckland doesn't play their anymore though do they?) both Trent Boult and Te Ahu Davis would have played. Davis has been bowling really well in Club cricket from what I've heard, so maybe they went with the medium pacers because of the conditions.

By the way, really wanting Flynn to score some runs (McIntosh having already failed) and all of Martin, Tuffey and O'Brien to bowl well. Good to see Tuffey back from his injury already.

Dunno about that tbh. Silly strategy. Might as well let Boult and Davis have a go on favourable conditions and not just let them get smashed on the flatter pitches.

EDIT: I bet Davis would have raped in club cricket. How many 140+ bowlers do you see in club cricket? :p

Yea I'm probably right of with that, just throwing it out their. Perhaps Scott was picked because he's played so much cricket down there though, that probably gave him the edge over Boult.

Otago falling in a heap. Hard to know how seriously to take it when it's early season University Oval as you pointed out.

De Boorder with a golden quacker.

Scotts also pretty good. Gets a lot of stick but gets wickets on anything. Don't mind him playing, its the other two that seem a bit pointless when you have a Trent Boult on the sidelines.

Maybe Boult isn't 100 percent, he is coming back from a stress-fracture afterall.
