Vettori is a genius, knows better how to exploit the conditions, considering limited variations compared to Ajmal, and his dead accuracy, i think it will take Ajmal sometimes to come to that level. Moreover, NZ test series and Australian Test series will be a major test for Ajmal...

As i write...Vettori has sucked the life out of Pak's chase.....

So, Umar is in...., but Mohammad Yousouf is not. Do I lack information or is that just a weird dicission?

Its one of the most outrageous selection decisions i have ever seen in my life.....

The reasons leading up to this decision are, Butt's inclusion as an opener....who is in terrible form. Plus YK's stubbornness to bat at 1 down position. If Butt is the opener, there is no way Malik or Kamran can fill the position...hence both stay in the lower middle order....that leaves a need for only 1 more batsman in the middle, either Umar or Mo Yo.....

In the ideal situation, if Butt is not openning...and they are using only 1 specialist opener with either Malik or Kamran opening, Mo Yo should bat 1 down, then should come in Umar Akmal, Malik/YK, whoever feels they can bat on the given day....this to me is a more balanced approach...middle order needs to be given to Umar and Mo Yo.

Vettori is nowhere near the top as the best test spinner. There is day light between him and Muralitharan in test matches.

I am interested in ODIs where Vettori is the best spinner ATM, but chased hard by upcoming Mendis and Ajmal. Ajmal had given plenty of trouble to the Aussies as well. Ajmal is not a novice. He is a seasoned campaigner for ten seasons bowling at very good players of spin in domestic curcuit. What I feel is he is in the track of beating Vettori. But he has to keep the current standards for some time to achieve that.
