Errm normally the BC's middle order rescues poor starts.
Vettori coming in at the 35th over is 50/50 for me.
Good thing is he can nurdle the ball around more than most batsmen because his style can be quite unorthidox however, if he gets out early then that's a massive set back.
He's so valuable which is both a curse and a blessing.

Never said it was just the middle order. Whenever we have a good start, we seem to **** it up. In this innings you could blame it on McCullum for getting out to a pretty lame shot, and putting Ross Taylor under pressure.
I'm not doubting the middle order step up when we get a bad start, they just hardly ever seem to continue on with a good start.
"That's clipping the top of leg-stump, that's fair enough". Kind of harsh tbh, that looked at first to be going way down the leg-side.
