**Official** New Zealand v Pakistan in UAE

Vettori coming in at the 35th over is 50/50 for me.

Good thing is he can nurdle the ball around more than most batsmen because his style can be quite unorthidox however, if he gets out early then that's a massive set back.

He's so valuable which is both a curse and a blessing.

NZ got too many pace bowlers based on how Pakistans spinners have been performing?

Errm normally the BC's middle order rescues poor starts.
Never said they didn't, did I?

We can still get 300 if these two bat well, just disappointing that no one could continue on the momentum that McCullum built.

So the middle atone for the poor work of the top order, while also ruining the good work done by the top order?

Styris to kill it with his bowling.

Never said it was just the middle order. Whenever we have a good start, we seem to **** it up. In this innings you could blame it on McCullum for getting out to a pretty lame shot, and putting Ross Taylor under pressure.

I'm not doubting the middle order step up when we get a bad start, they just hardly ever seem to continue on with a good start.

 "That's clipping the top of leg-stump, that's fair enough". Kind of harsh tbh, that looked at first to be going way down the leg-side.

Only Southee to come in. Mills has to hit out. How on earth can they survive 8 overs? Rather score some quick boundaries than eek out one's and two's,

i am following the commentary online at cricinfo.com

i read this..

Shahid Afridi to Mills, 1 wide, the googly results in a stifled appeal for lbw, turns in and strikes him high on the pads

could this be possible? or it is a mistake? as i am typing this Oram is gone..
