BARNES OUT
And Gaspar, while we're at it.

My final starter is Anthony Stevens.

B: Nathan Bassett, Darren Glass, Ben Hart
HB: Joel Bowden, Matthew Scarlett, Guy McKenna
C: Todd Viney, Brett Ratten, Matthew Pavlich
HF: Shane Woewodin, Gary Ablett Snr, Anthony Stevens
F: Russell Robertson, David Neitz (c), Adem Yze
R: Jimmy Stynes, Kane Cornes, Shane Crawford

Pretty happy with that side, moving Pavlich to the wing gives more space to Neitz and Ablett (and Robbo) as well as allowing some freeness for the HFF players. Side could be better but I'm happy to go with it. Very happy with my backline personally, though if I had my time again I'd probably go for an out and out CHB (though, there's both Pav and Neitz that have spent plenty of time there).

I would have thought Pav at CHF and Gablett at HFF, move Stevo or Woewodin to the wing. Gary Snr never really played at CHF, he was too small. He was never really tall enough, supposely, for FF, but he was so strong and quick off the mark that he was able to finish his career there.

Also, Glass is more suited to CHB than Scarlett IMO. Glass would take a Nick Riewoldt or Tredrea (in his prime) wherever they went, whereas Scarlett is a lot more at home in the last line of defence.

FP: Luke Power

Began his career up forward, at the feet of Lynch, Brown etc. Then moved into the midfield, allows another player for my midfield rotations. Was toying with having a resting ruckman there, as I couldn't find a specialist forward pocket that suited my needs, however in the end I think Matera and a resting on-baller, Power or Riccuito up forward can do the job.

Reckon you're forward line looks a lot more balanced there. Ablett, Robertson and Yze all guns beneath their knees, with Pavlich running his man into the ground and Neitz bullocking anything coming his way.

Langford was a huge pickup for saggers, reckon the backline looked a bit frail before then.

Int: Luke Darcy

Second ruckman, who can also slide up forward and kick some goals. Was the premier ruckman in the league for a period, and probably the last ruckman to enter a Brownlow Medal as favourite.

International Captain
Int: Leon Davis (COLL)

Very dangerous small forward who can also run in the midfield. Mercurial, but so long as my team doesn't have to play any finals Davis should be a handy pick up.

B: Wanganeen , Frawley , Ashcroft
HB: Long , Jakovich, Pickett
C: Dal Santo , Koutoufides, Hawkins
HF: Corey, Merrett , Schwarz
F: S.Johnson , Dunstall , Franklin
R: McKernan, Bell , Burke
Int: Davis

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Int: Cyril Rioli (Haw)

B: ***ton, Rutten, C.Johnson
HB: Hodge, Leppitsch, Lappin
C: Mainwaring, Couch, Schwass
HF: Chapman, Kernahan, G.Brown
F: N.Brown, Fevola, Daniher
R: Madden, Voss, Bradley

Int: C.Rioli,

Only played 44 games, but he's already one of the best small forwards in the competition (IMO). Will be a handy interchange player hanging around the feet or Fev, Kernahan and Daniher.
