Fair be it to to sympathise with a Spurts player (especially one who grew up supporting the Chavs; how does the man sleep?) but Crouch has a right to be mildly agrieved given what Clattenburg has let go so far. Yes, he hoyed the ball away which is a yellow, but why wasn't Assou-Ekotto booked for more or less the same offence first half? Unless throwing the ball is somehow worse than punting it?
