Good to see rob cassell to make his comeback in vic premier cricket,he was tagged the next big thing a few years ago till injury ended things.
How many bowlers do the vics have so unfair.

Yeah, Robbie Cassell took his hat-trick against us. Not bowling nearly as quick as he has in the past, but still bowls good enough areas. Will be a long slow process, really doubt that he'll be playing for Victoria in the next season and a half. But if he does get there and about, it will be a huge boon.

Interesting bowling attack. Surprised Bird was overlooked, Cameron as well. Will be interesting what they do with the top order and whether we go with the extra all rounder in O'Keefe or batsmen in Rohrer.

I would go with o'keefe, they have to bowl the other side out.
Tom stray 100 and 50 in the futures cup,may see him in a bushrangers jersey this year.
Qld 2nd xl batting line up looks crap.

It seems NSW aren't comfortable with Bird since his chucking sighting. I hope Starc gets the spot, hes a good talent.

SACA 2/26 vs Vics,

Nannes with both the wickets (can't believe nearly everyone chose McKay and not Nannes).

Would love it if Cosgrove tons up today!

SA further in the mire at 3/42. Cooper has started the day with a couple of cracking straight drives within his first few balls so at least that bodes well. Time for a 300+ run Cosgrove/Cooper partnership because after these two, it's mainly all-rounders.....

I picked Cooper as being in form, don't let me down son.

Awful start from the redbacks here..bloody hell. Nannes bowling well and fast. Redbacks are 3/47..need a big partnership from these two here. Smith out to a poor shot and Klinger has just been struggling for a while now.

Come on redbacks!

Over 10.6: McDonald to Cooper, FOUR, cracking straight drive back passed the bowler to get off the mark

Over 11.4: McKay to Cooper, FOUR, powerful drive along the ground straight through the hands of mid off, that was flying

Over 16.2: McDonald to Cooper, FOUR, glorious straight drive through the bowlers feet

Over 16.3: McDonald to Cooper, FOUR, this time through the covers, fantastic timing

Over 16.4: McDonald to Cooper, FOUR, and again, flicked though midwicket for three boundaries in a row

Can't see the game but words like 'cracking' and 'glorious' read okay to me. Cooper going at better than a run-a-ball so far.

Always been a super player off the front foot. Surprised the Vics are bowling full enough for that, most of the younger guys who played with him have always thought it's best to keep the ball above hip height to him.

What about how the Redback supporting group has gone from about one for the past couple of years to a multitude coming out of the rafters!

From the ball-by-ball, it looks like the fast short stuff from Nannes/McKay finished their spells just as Cooper came in and he's feasting from the guys bowling meds. See how he goes when the other two come back.

In fairness, membership of the club here went up 100% when Kirki joined. haha Besides, I suspect you've been a closet support against opponents other than Vic.

For a long time it was just you and the Squidman. Now you've got Redbacks, Kylez and a few others seem to have an affiliation with South Australia

You mean me being a closet SA fan? Rubbish! Although when Herby played I had a soft spot for them.

Victoria starting well. Be nice to see McGain start the season strongly, he is a far better bowler than his one game in South Africa showed. If he stays fit, he should have a pretty strong season.

Cosgrove the key for SA, still needs to compile an innings. No need for swinging the bat, plenty of support still left. Interested in how Ludeman performs, comes with a good reputation, I do recall watching him some five or six years ago in a Victorian country week game, was very highly rated back then.
