Hope Bailey is given a game. This will be a good test for Smith and Cooper up against a very good Victorian bowling attack.

I fear Rogers will take the game away from S.A as he'll be pushing his case as hard as he can for some kind of national selection. But if we can bat first and bat long we might have a chance. Hopefully the Vics are suffering some Champions League fatigue.

What is bailey's good form with the ball based off? Also the bolded part is not correct, bailey bats 5 in grade cricket.
Is 'your team' just the 12 man squad or am i missing something?

I think the redbacks can put up a good first innings score and take first innings points here.
Yeah alright be bats 5, I knew he batted up the order though. And yes my team was from the 12 man squad but I like to feel special and name a side.

And Baileys good form mate, is taking an 11 wicket haul in his last future league game.

Like ya work Kylez, keep it up! :)

The guys looked pretty focused out on the oval and in the nets today. They're usually quite friendly and today they were too, but it was different - they come across incredibly focused.

Am hoping the Vics are suffering from a Champs league hang-over but unfortunately think the guys might be beaten at this one, just hope the guys can front up on the home soil and really make a go of it and put in a really good performace.

That said, they're coming off a great Shield win so there's no reason for them to think that a win is out of the question. There is a real focus in the group this year about making Adelaide Oval a genuine home ground with the aim of winning most games there.

I think the match will be very interesting... dare I say I am actually liking and looking forward to the four day format??

A lot of his runs come when the team has given him a good platform. When the going gets tough he very rarely has steady the ship that you would expect from an experienced play like him.

Hey TC who's going to captain now? Congrats to Manou, deserves his chance.

Just looking at the Vic squad now and I'm wondering how Lloyd Mash keeps making the team. Does anyone know why? Does he murder grade cricket attacks or something?

Oh crap - have a day off today so missed this one. Wonder who will take up the captaincy now? Maybe Daniel Harris?

Ludeman has been doing pretty well in Grade Cricket from what I've heard, would be a fantastic opportunity for him. Nice bloke too.

It just has to be Mass.

Everyone's scared of him when he gets mad. Recent photo of him when someone told him he hadn't made the team (the red guy is allegedly Andy McDonald);

"LLOYD MASH!!!!"

Really happy for Ludes, he's a ripping man. Good gloveman, and hits the ball cleanly, although he doesn't have the greatest record in District cricket over here.

Mash does well in grade cricket, but he has a super record in 2nd XI cricket, numerous hundreds and a double ton. He's uncomplicated, knows his game. Is he going to play in front of Quiney? I would've been surprised, TBH. Hastings is an interesting one too, however we're playing Footscray (his side) this week, so not too disappointed!

Congrats to Manou, But I can't help but feel abit annoyed..I mean they could of picked Hartley. Losing our captain will hurt us alot plus Manou's efforts with the gloves and bat..this will just make beating Victoria even harder with 4 of our top players out.

Hope Ludes goes well, he looks like a good replacement for Manou. Harris will be captain for sure..he is one of the senior players there and does captain his grade team.

Good news about Pollard though :)
