Like everyone else, find it absolutely ridiculous that Ponting would have let Watson bowl at the death there (lol, btw) and not let Lee finish off. Really silly stuff.

He was fine the over before, and during the powerplays. I'm not convinced by making him bowl all his overs at the death and in the powerplays, which he seems to be doing in the absence of Bracken, but he hasn't been doing a bad job of it up until that over.
He has since 07, this game proves it. But overall yea i wont bowl him at the death too often.
Watson cost me lots of money in the tri-series final against England all the way back in 2007 due to his ****ty death bowling, so I'll always hate him for it :p

Giving me reasoned arguments as to his death bowling is useless, I'm very biased ;)

Harby's flick for 6 off Siddle was one heck of a shot. Was like watching a train crash there. Lucky we didn't get hurt

And hopefully Lee will bowl his ten next game!!!

Only 4 hours difference, tbh.

Match-fixing

Fully expect Ponting to hand in his resignation in response.
Well, they DO have a vested interest in making the game a close one to keep people interested, what with this being a totally pointless series and all.....

yes, an injury to Ponting's brain.

What an arrogant one, thinking that we'd already won and would just cruise home with our bit parts. Siddle shouldn't even be playing ODIs.

Would that be arrogant like someone not knowing why Lee didnt bowl and assuming they know what Ponting was thinking and then making silly statements.

I'm only a **** because of your boy bowling full tosses at Paul Collingwood 2 years ago.

It still burns FFS.

It ended up being a great game and it was such a spirited fight back from the Indian side. Great to see the tail showing some courage and almost getting India through. Harbhajan and Praveen were outstanding and there was some pretty awesome hitting. Harbhajan's batting seems to go up a gear when he faces Australia but it is good to see his batting has improved over the years. Hoping that the rest of the series is as well contested as this match was.
