International Debutant
Or Clarke. Now that would've been ironic.Would still be a lot better with Symonds in the team, mind you. Could finally get rid of Hopes.

Jadeja was only trying to dry up the boundaries, but exerted no real pressure. They milked him for singles and twos while attacking the off-form Harbhajan. They played to the plan and it worked for them. He was just average, and way behind Watson.Thought Jadeja bowled pretty well tbh. The main difference in the bowling between the two teams is that with Watson bowling well at the moment, we can let one or two of the main bowlers of Lee/Johnson/Siddle bowl out in the middle overs and still have plenty of options with Hauritz, Watson, Hopes and even Voges at other stages. Having Watson bowling well just helps give us Australia that one extra non-part-time bowler.
He's useless being our best attacking spinner if he never actually attacks. What do you do with Harbhajan? He's been, at best, batsman-who-can-bowl quality throughout the year, and is apparently hanging on because of reputation. Yet, he's the best spinner by some way, and can be relied on to attack, and can produce something special from out of nothing. His batting will come crucial, with the few extra runs he keeps adding up at the bottom, but some all-rounders who have lost their place may contribute a lot more on form.
Yeah agree with that, but no need to try and hit over the top from overs 35-40. Should have tried to pierce the field more.I think it shows that India should have pushed it on a little more earlier. Not wild slogging but more turning over the strike. The run rate was high quite early on.
Another excellent over from Watto there, made sure he went for well under what is required.
I expect we'd have seen Brett Lee bowling now if it was closer, which means it's perhaps not so close as it seems.Yeah agree with that, but no need to try and hit over the top from overs 35-40. Should have tried to pierce the field more.
I was quite optimistic just before Gambhir's wicket, but even when Gambhir went out the task was very doable. Ah wel.
