They sure are.I'm totally against the thoughts of the commentators here. Australia favourites for me.

Although it annoys me to see Mishra dropped in favour of inferior bowlers, I would not attribute Australia scoring 292 to that selection. Ishant Sharma has been performing poorly in ODIs up until now and has not had the new ball for a while. Therefore, he would have been the likely bowler to be dropped in favour of Mishra and he ended up with good figures. However, it is evident to me that Mishra must come in next game for Praveen Kumar and that India should take a risk by giving Ishant Sharma the new ball. In a stark change from my previous thinking, I feel that Ishant can be, of some use, in the ODI game, as a death bowler. He appeared to do well at the death, going by figures alone (partial figures due to what appears to be a glitch in Cricinfo commentary). Looking at this, you can see that Ishant has done tremendously well at the death in 2009, with 12 wickets at 15.41 with an economy of 6.49.Australia are spinning India out of the game here. Who'd have thought it. This is what happens when you don't pick Amit Mishra.
He does have his shockers. For a bowler at 130kph, he is quite inconsistent with his performances, he is often great and he is often terrible.Surprised Praveen Kumar went for these many runs.
No, I wouldn't attribute Australia getting 292 to Mishy's non-selection. It's just a little ironic that it looks like Australia might win the game on account of their superior spin bowling.Although it annoys me to see Mishra dropped in favour of inferior bowlers, I would not attribute Australia scoring 292 to that selection. However, I would like to see Tyagi and Munaf a go against the Aussies - always good to give the inform bowlers a go.
Its just unfortunate that people continue to get picked on reputation alone in Indian cricket. I don't think Harbhajan has been that effective in test matches either but continues to be picked as number 1 spinner without any questions asked. In ODI's Harbhajan used to at least keep the runs down without taking any wickets but no days he leaks alot of runs.I called for him to be dropped during the Champions Trophy and linked to a piece in my blog which shows he has been useless last 2 years.
Surprised Praveen Kumar went for these many runs.
Certainly ironic. However, and I've been saying this since he was first selected, Hauritz is an outstanding spin bowler at the moment, imo, and there is little shame being troubled by him, especially in, but not limited to, ODI cricket. No, I wouldn't attribute Australia getting 292 to Mishy's non-selection. Good thing it wasn't Dhoni. He got knee capped by Munaf in the nets according to Cricinfo and another hit might have put him down for a while.Ouch. Kneecapped.
Harbhajan is towing the line of acceptability, but with 2/14 off 8 in his last ODI before this (and his 5 wicket haul in the Compaq Cup final was not too long ago, either). Sure, it was against West Indies 'B', but we still must have some degree of conservatism with someone who has been one of our top ODI performers. Perhaps he should be given one or two more ODIs to prove himself, hopefully with Mishra in the side to build a frame of comparison.I called for him to be dropped during the Champions Trophy and linked to a piece in my blog which shows he has been useless last 2 years.
Yeah maybe but i've often seen India take their power play around this time when the bowl gets changed...Think they took the powerplay to take Hauritz out of the game.
