With Watt0 bowling like this, it just further highlights the waste of putting Hopes at 7. Get a specialist T20 finisher in there pr0nto or just a specialist batsman.
Can never be to sure with Watson's body TBH. He hasn't proven yet he can be depended on to bowl long spells without breaking down. So i'd keep Hopes in the side @ 7 for now. (maybe even Henriques down the line as well)

That's some atrocious running between the wickets. Or the lack of it. Rather than pinch the singles, they're just playing defensive strokes!

A bit of both, Watto tends to bowl rubbish when he comes back, and gets a lot better as time goes on and he bvuilds confidence in his ability to not fall apart but conditions in subcon really seem to favour him for some reason.

Was just about to post that it's even, but I guess we're ahead with that wicket. Get Dhoni early and it's all over.

Yeah... I guess he's also got a lot of experience playing in India now.

Voges really is a handy addition to the side if he can bowl like this through the series... especially if Hopes's injury keeps him out for a few games, which I would have thought it will given the way he was limping.

I don't really think Haddin is the right choice in ODI's in terms of the future anyway. They might continue with Haddin for tests and keep Paine in ODI's, which would be the right way to go.
No it wouldn't. You're forgetting Haddin was quickly becoming our best ODI bat before his injury and should be there no questions asked. He shouldn't be playing at 7 either, as has been shown previously, he's not great in that position.

Australia are spinning India out of the game here. Who'd have thought it. This is what happens when you don't pick Amit Mishra.

Right about Mishra, but I don't exactly think India are too bothered with Voges just yet.

I'm surprised the commentators were saying that they were 'doing it easy' against the spinners. The run rate was creeping up if anything.

Seriously need to consider Harbhajan's position as number 1 spinner in both forms of game... India should give Mishra ago or someone else. As much as like the way Harbhajan can lift the team but overall he's been usless in ODI cricket for a quite a long time now. He continues to be picked on reputation.
And Harbhajan was putrid today.
I called for him to be dropped during the Champions Trophy and linked to a piece in my blog which shows he has been useless last 2 years.

Surprised Praveen Kumar went for these many runs.
