*Official* Australia in India - ODIs

agree... I fear a drubbing... Aussie bowling attack is so much better than ours that it isn't funny.. And I am still sceptical of guys like Yuvi and Sehwag turning it on so soon after an injury. Expect everyone apart from Sachin to have a torrid time in this series for India, tbh.. :(
Yet Australia for some reason are underdogs (on Betfair.com anyway). Probably because of Clarke's back injury.

Just put some money on Aust for the series, and will do so every match as well. If we win, yay. If Aust win, money.

:D

6 runs per over isn't too bad. I'd back India to chase down 300 at home. Their batting's just unspeakably good.

I think India will take this series, tbh.

That's interesting, because Bet365 have Australia as 4/5 favourites.

Free money for anyone who wants it. Not a lot of it, mind. And you do have to rely on the weather not throwing a spanner in the works and giving us a drawn series on Betfair.

Indian bowling sucks.
Harbhajan and Mishra are two of the top world spinners and our part time spinners have been doing quite well in the past. It is our pace department which has been poor and Ashish Nehra has changed that, since his comeback. It is the slot of the second pace bowler (presuming we keep sanity and play two spinners/two pacers) which will be critical, imo.

I believe Ishant Sharma has a chance of getting back on track with Zaheer's advice during matches in the field.

all our fast bowlers are either out of form or crap will be good to have some spinner friendly pitches and have three spinners in team :)....personally likes games where team struggle to score 220-240 rather than having to see teams chase down 350+ comfortably

There's a bit of talk about moving Johnson up the order to make use of his big hitting. Would it be a worthwhile move to open with him? Especially with Haddin out, he could make use of the beginning powerplay(s). Just a thought.

Apparently he says he wants to open...

First game has come around quick.

Great excuse to park my drunken butt in front of the TV on Sunday.

I personally think Johnson, while definitley a handy lower-middle order batsman, doesn't have the skills to open. He has some big shots but i would rather have him to finish the innings at 7 or 8. Much like he got us out of some potential trouble against the WI in the champions trophy.
