I guess the Test team is just Jaques for Warner, Bollinger for Bracken and Henriques spot is up for grabs with probably Thornley the favourite.for me the nsw blues and it is scary how good this team could look at there best!
P.HUGHES
D.WARNER
S.KATICH (VC)
M.CLARKE (C)
S.WATSON
B.HADDIN (WK)
M.HENRIQUES
B.LEE
N.HAURITZ
N.BRACKEN
S.CLARK
This would be my ODI team but is there any suggestions for a test line up?
Yeah I must admit I would have some concerns with White at 5 and McDonald at 6 considering both looked and performed like number 8's in the Test Matches they played.Full of high profile players are the Vics, I'm not too sure about the quality though.
For the NSW test side, Jaques in at one, Warner to six, Henriques out, Haddin to seven and Bollinger for Bracken.I guess the Test team is just Jaques for Warner, Bollinger for Bracken and Henriques spot is up for grabs with probably Thornley the favourite.
Victoria's 4 day side will be difficult to beat for any state/province.
1 Nick Jewell
2 Chris Rogers
3 Brad Hodge
4 David Hussey
5 Cameron White
6 Andrew McDonald
7 Matthew Wade
8 Clint McKay
9 Peter Siddle
10 Jon Holland/Bryce McGain
11 Dirk Nannes.
I would go for Thornley over Warner, even Khawaja actually. I guess on paper though Warner has the potential to look better. For the NSW test side, Jaques in at one, Warner to six, Henriques out, Haddin to seven and Bollinger for Bracken.
You forgot Fleming.Canterbury a few years ago was pretty damn good.

Yup Fleming & Llorne Howell if you were looking at the 04/05 sideYou forgot Fleming.
Strong batting, but bowling would get punished. Never really rated Zoysa or Fernando as limited overs bowlersHow about this - SSC

My bad, thought he moved to Wellington a bit earlier tha he did.You forgot Fleming.
Totally off topic, but I went to have a look at this side and this game caught my eye:Yeah that was the 2005 side.
That Auckland attack was pretty meh, the Caterbury one was decent though (Cairns being the big gun).Totally off topic, but I went to have a look at this side and this game caught my eye:
North Island v South Island at New Plymouth, Feb 13, 2005 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
They need to bring back these sort of marquee matches
Plus another completely irrelevant thing from the 04/05 season, back-to-back centuries by Vettori opening:
Auckland v Northern Districts at Auckland, Feb 6, 2005 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
Semi-Final: Canterbury v Northern Districts at Auckland, Feb 9, 2005 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
Your perception about Fernado is quite true as he is one in 10 match performer. But in that one particular match he performs well, he'll blast the opposition. He might get away with rank bad performances in FC level though. Zoysa was a very steady bowler. Here is how he performed.Strong batting, but bowling would get punished. Never really rated Zoysa or Fernando as limited overs bowlers
