The game is just getting to fancy for me...

I used to love the simple interface design, but this one is very cluttered and its much harder to find things...

Maybe it will grow on me but it seems every year that goes on i get less and less into FM..

Wont be buying FM anymore, just not worth it. You literally have to put hundreds of hours into a game to make it fun and given all the new pointless features that keep getting added it's becoming too much.

Yeah i was the same but the new competition editor enticed me into it..

I'll be creating a 3 Division Australian League.. Something new...

Loads of them actually. Most obvious ones are the Tactics Creator, Editor and Backroom Advice. Press conferences for signings. Ability to play against the Glenn Hoddle Academy. Improved match engine and addition of crowds and stadia. Net ripples now.

Loads of bug fixing and polish was the focus this year as well as optimisation. It's much better than FM09. A few things to be fixed that turned up at the end before game went gold and they're already being worked on. Not sure if they've been spotted yet but general response to the game has been positive so far. It's much more intuitive now especially tactics so you don't have to worry as it's very much easier to implement what you want to do tactically instead of having to fiddle with sliders.

Been playing for a few hours now, and i must say its growing on me... Changed the skin to the Dark skin and it looks much better, although im still trying to get used to where all the options are with all the different tabs..

The Glenn Hoddle Academy is a nice touch, getting the option to sign some youths from there..

Loving the new tactic designer, as well as the backroom staff option...

Yeah it takes a while for experienced users to get around the new Interface but most get there.

What pointless features?

Everything is just over done and too complex, I'm sure it's a lovely game for fanatical football fans but if you don't want to spend hours wondering if a 4-3-1-2 is better for team than a 4-1-2-1-2 and so on then it just gets tedious.

Press conference stuff just asks you the same things over and over again. Was cool at first, boring after half an hour.

Overall the game just isn't fun now, it's more like a relief or something when you actually win something. I'm not gonna spend $90 on it for the third year in a row just to get two or three seasons play out of it and leave it on the shelf.

Will have to download the demo tonight and give it a run-through. I don't mind all the new features, but then, I'm the kind of person who does play for hours and likes to mess about with tactics a lot... that's what management is all about, isn't it? Well, that and man-management, which I admit is still something that could use a bit more focus.

Trust me it's true. Usually on the SI forums there're loads of negative responses. Very few so far. And those I have seen are massive overreactions from people who have no clue what they're doing or just want to whinge without being through.

Play it yourself though.
