Can see Liverpools shoddy defence (and goal difference) at the start of the season hurting them big-time in the title race. Have looked so incredibly shaky on numerous occasions in pretty much every match so far.

Wycombe away on Tuesday, if we can go there and win then it takes us off the bottom (I count us as being bottom as Southampton have earned more points than us). God knows we shouldn't ever be worried about a trip to Wycombe but with Millwall away next Saturday (guaranteed 0 points) we need to get the most of the game on Tues.

Meanwhile I've sorted my first away trip of the season for the following Tuesday, Bury away in the JP. £6 in and £2 petrol, winner
We are coming down towards you pretty fast, 7 games without a win and now just a point clear of relegation. Have a lot of confident in Andy Scott and I think we will be just about ok in the long run but we need a win soon, going to be a pretty tough and long season.

Mansfield got a win, back in the Playoffs. But the BSP is so tight, 3 points between about 4th and 11th.

Really genuinely hope we make the playoffs this season, anything else and we're going to be stuck in the BSP for awhile.

Haha I watch and three goals in 5 minutes. First the wickets falling and now this. Look forward to the rest of the game.

Liverpool seem to have completely reversed their tendencies of recent seasons - they'd been good against other top teams but dropped far too many points against minnows, particularly at Anfield. This season they've been destroying weaker teams but have lost to the only two good sides (Spurs and Villa) that they've played.

Nice to be top of the league from a United POV, but pretty meaningless this early - I've always thought that tables are barely even worth showing until the number in the games-played column is at least in least double figures.

Well tbh they dropped loads of points against mediocre sides last season as well, albeit in the form of a high amount of draws rather than defeats.

Yeah good point last year we did the double over Chelsea and Man U which was great, but drawing at home to teams like stoke just wasn't on.

For the life of me i can't work out why Arsenal decided to put Burkey in goal against Fulham...however it paid off in the end.

That was pretty much textbook "taking your chance with both hands". Extraordinary performance.

Just saw the highlights or lowlights of the Man City/West Ham game.

Just awful defending by the Hammers. Reminds me of 2002/03 all over again where we were alright up front, but absolutely shocking in defence.

As I predicted, a long season ahead.

Really hope Zola doesn't get sacked, but fear he'll be gone by Xmas.
