Aargg, you jinxed him! Swine!Grasnt Elliot is awesome.
NZL wont get any where close to 250. The maximum they will get is 235ish.250+ should be advantage NZL.
One heave successful. That means he should play it againThe ball really is turning a hell of a long way, so it can't be easy to keep ticking it over. He just seems to be having an off day - has hit so many balls straight to fielders that he'd normally take singles off.
Probably saving the slog sweep for the powerplay...will no doubt get out to it, leaving a new batsman at the crease who has to hit out immediately.
Ah...there's the heave.
If Taylor stays may get even more its all up to Ross.NZL wont get any where close to 250. The maximum they will get is 235ish.
Think they would have if Elliott didn't get out. A shame really.FFS, why not go for the powerplay when you had two set batsmen?
I don't understand it. You're going to slog away in the last 6-7 overs anyway...
did his job tbf.Aargg, you jinxed him! Swine!
The six wasn't completely random, we are getting to the death.Elliott played well and got done by a good ball from a good bowler. He is a serious ODI batsman though imo.
Taylor though, wtf is he doing? Scores at a completely unacceptable rate and makes no effort to accelerate, then plays a random slog for 6 in the middle? Will this guy ever really have a clue?
Got out with his job half-done tbf.did his job tbf.
Certainly knows how to pace an innings. Perhaps it's taught from a young age in South Africa. Always looks unthreatening but manages to score at a strike rate of 80. TBF he does seem to have the knack for edging the balls into gaps at the moment.Elliott played well and got done by a good ball from a good bowler. He is a serious ODI batsman though imo.
