Possibly the best football match I've ever seen, given I was watching in an absolutely rammed pub with a fairly even United-Citeh split. When Bellamy scored the equaliser the Citeh fan in front of me went nuts and spilt his beer on me, then turned round just afterwards and smarmily apologised because "he got a bit excited". When Owen scored three minutes later I made sure to go absolutely bat**** crazy.

Definately and proves why IMO Owen has to be at the World Cup next year for England.
Excellent finish tho it was, unless we take five strikers (which is possible, but would seem excessive in a squad which barring injury will include Walcott & Gerrard, both of whom can play the auxiliary striker role) I can't see how we can unless we leave Defoe out. The way I see it currently is:

Rooney
Two of Heskey, Cole or Crouch
Defoe

Think Fab likes a big guy for the other striker to play off, so he'll take two in case one gets broken in the tournament, so reckon Owen's up against it still. Doesn't have the pace of Defoe anymore (or that of Agbonlahor or Bent if it comes to that), so he needs another 12-15 of those this season as a minimum to give himself a chance.

Haven't seen the game yet, but I really don't see how an extra minute of game time could be calculated to give Man U an advantage. Maybe if it was 11 men vs 9, 0-0 and one team was shut up in their own box grimly hanging on, but City had scored 3 times over the 92 odd minutes. Who's to say they couldn't have been the ones to benefit from such a "decision"?
Well Tbh as Man Utd had dominated the half up to this point and Citeh's goals all came against the run of play, good as they were, there was only ever one team that was ever going to capitalise in injury time.

Will The Neviller Be Charged?
I am just wondering if Gary Neville will be charged with improper conduct for his dash down the touchline to celebrate like a lunatic in front of the away fans yesterday?? Probably not as the City fans didn't go mental and throw lots of stuff at him.

I'd be more worried about Bellamy getting sent down for hitting an already restrained (and admittedly very twattish) fan.

Of course you would be, losing Neville would be more a blessing than a hindrance.

That said, he's probably still a better defender than any RB we have. Come January Micah should pack his bags, we're going to pour money into a RB I reckon.

Haha, Fergie, WAG.

Why did Citeh not want an extra minute of added time? Because they knew United were far likely to score, being a far better team. Can whine all they like, they'll still be crap.

We've just won the greatest Manchester derby of all-time with a 96th-minute goal.

No trouble in our house mate.

It's all relative. If Citeh were anything other than crap in comparison to United then they wouldn't whine like dogs about playing an extra 90 seconds when the scoreline's 3-3, don't you think?

I'm not specifically talking about you here, btw

It's the mentality, not the ability. IMO you're a fool if you think the side that took the park (without Adebayor and Robinho, no less) is crap. They whine for reasons that extend for three decades.

Obnoxious gloating aside, I am making a real point here. All I've heard from City for the past two weeks was how they're now a big club and are on their way to a top four finish. And on the strength of their first-half performance, they seemed to have a case.

All the complaining just shows the opposite though. Would Chelsea complain about an extra ninety seconds being played when they were drawing with United? No, because they're a successful club that wants to win every game they play. Citeh have spent the last week talking themselves up as real challengers and their reaction to a bit of added time in a game that was tied (all justified by Bellamy's 55 seconds of celebration anyway) completely belies everything they've been claiming.

And I know you weren't one of the fans that was talking the team up, so I'm not aiming this at you. But it's an interesting insight into what Sparky (still a legend) really meant when he announced their arrival as real contenders last week.

Unfortunately, the footballing world does have to face the inevitable that City will be a top four club eventually and there's not a hell of a lot anybody can do to stop it - the owners have unlimited funds and can simply afford to keep buying until it happens
