What a shame - Yorky getting "Pushy'd" into Division 2
The Yorkshire fans will be going nuts on their respective forums. Can just imagine all the flak 'Mags' will be getting for their negative approach.

Oh and Borthwick making his FC debut for Durham, will be interesting to see how he does later.

Why has Imran Tahir bowled so few overs against Durham?
Was thinking the same, he has bowled plenty now but Danny Briggs bowled over 20 overs before he came on so can only assume he had some kind of injury. Durham reaching 400/7, just hope our batting can muster some bonus points so we go into the last game with the advantage over Sussex and Yorkshire, really not sure who I want to win out of those two this week.

Wow just seeing Harmison is averaging 1.87 with the bat this season... 5 ducks in 9 innings.

Other than Davies and Borthwick who's playing his first game the rest all average 34+, six 40+

I'm sure there are seasons when no Durham batsman averaged 34.

Tahir in with a chance of his 5'th 5 wicket haul of the season, although not the force he was last year he has still got 52 wickets this season and an average of 32 looks a lot healthier than it looked a few weeks ago. Really looking forward to Mendis coming next season but will miss him.

Grrr, switched on Sky just in time to see Surrey lose three in ten minutes. Kinda wish I hadn't bothered.

No hat-trick for Botha though.

Mendis is going to be so unbelievably (sp?) good. Can't wait to watch him in action.

Hope so, I know he has struggled a bit more of late but you would have though that most county batsman will be pretty clueless against him. Just hope that he gets to bowl in the first rather than the second division. Hope we do not put all our hopes in him though we need a much bigger contribution from our pace attack next season.

Third wicket for Jonathan Trott - he seems to like the Oval just lately. Not sure what Richard Logan's doing there, on trial/loan I suppose.

Did you see this Fred? Former Lancs and England leg-spinner Tommy Greenhough has died at 77. Averaged only 22 in both Tests and f-c, could have been unlucky not to get more chances.
Remarkable bloke "oor Tommy" - in 1950, before he'd made his debut for Lancs, he fell 40 feet and broke his metatarsals on both feet - not a bad effort to get a Test career after that!

which your link refers to I see - I think it was his metatarsals though and not ankles - that's what he told Stephen Chalke anyway
