Undertaker vs Punk - I would also hope that this is the first of many, in a long and awesome feud. I can't see Taker tapping out cleanly, so I imagine the only way this will end is if Taker is beaten unconcious and cannot continue. I would rather Punk keep the belt, as he is already turning into Edge in the way he picks up and loses titles over and over again, I really think what would be best would be for him to retain for a few months before dropping to Taker in a blowoff match, however, I would not be surprised if Taker picks up the win.
Cena vs Orton - I'm largely in agreement. I don't think much more can be done with Orton as champion, so the logical choice here is Cena, unless of course they can hold off for a bit longer and do an Orton vs DiBiase thing, but that doesn't look likely at this stage. Am backing Cena to win this one, and I hope he does, will help freshen things up.
DX vs Legacy - Can't really look beyond DX for this, unfortunately. No doubt they will do a great job of putting Legacy over again, but I can't see either HHH or HBK willingly to job to either Rhodes or DiBiase, would enjoy being proved wrong though.
Christian vs Regal - As Regal has all the momentum going into this match, I would have to say I fvaour Christian to get the win, like you say, if it's gven enough time then this should be the match of the night, could go either way, but I expect Christian to retain.
Chris Jericho and The Big Show vs MVP and Mark Henry - Hmm, very much hoping Jericho and Show retain to be honest. I don't think a run with the tag titles will benefit MVP or Mark Henry when they really ought to be given a run as singles competitors. Hopefully Jericho will do a great job of putting them both over, which I'm sure he will, as he always does make everyone else look like a million dollars.
United States Championship Match: Kofi Kingston vs The Miz - As this match has been rushed together and shunted onto the card I don't really expect much of a result from this one. Might be a good match, but probably won't be given much time. Both guys doing well at the moment, if this had been a proper feud then I would say Miz would be winning, but as not, I imagine Kofi will probably retain, though it's another one where any result could occur.
Kane vs The Great Khali - Khali to get the win, and (hopefully) end this terrible feud. Why on earth they've ended up with this on the card and axed Ziggler vs Morrison is anyones guess. The fact that Morrison, Ziggler, Shelton and various others haven't even been given a match is pretty criminal in my eyes.

Agree regarding Morrison-Ziggler, I read that they shelved it because they couldn't come up with an acceptable finish, which is shambolic, really. Morrison's push has been a strange one because they've really put him over on TV yet he's hardly featured on PPV.

Not a bad PPV I thought, surprised at a few of the results.
Undertaker vs Punk - Didn't think much of this match tbh, thought it was ok, but all of Punk's early matches in a feud seem to be a bit below par, so I have no doubt that he can step it up as this progesses. Not really too keen on the ending though, first of all, The Dusty finish type thing was stupid and annoying, though I am glad that Punk managed to win, surely they could have found a better way to do it rather than another attempt at recreating the Montreal screwjob, though it was in Montreal of all places, just rolledeyes when that happened.
Cena vs Orton - Probably the match of the night, and the best match I have seen between the two. Cena really wearing a few of those shots with the kendo stick, good stuff. Thought this match was well put together and believable. Thought Orton got slightly Buried though, as Cena repeatedly refused to quit after taking a monsterous beating, only for Orton to quit immediately after being put in the STF.
DX vs Legacy - Well done HHH and HBK, did the right thing here and really put over two great young guys who really needed the rub. My only question now is why the hell did this not happen about 4 months ago? Good match though, surprised and pleased with the result. Pretty much a clean win as well, so two thumbs up from me.
Christian vs Regal - Decent enough match, what you would expect from these two really. Some entertaining stuff without being amazing, right man won for mine.
Chris Jericho and The Big Show vs MVP and Mark Henry - also pretty much what I expected from this, Jericho did a good job of making MVP in particular look good, and the result went the right way also.
Kane vs The Great Khali - Jeez this was pointless, even the rubbish stipulation couldn't make this interesting. And unless they are planning something for Kane in the immediate future (which I doubt) the result of this match seems pretty illogical as well.
Kofi vs Miz - good match, quite back and forth that made it exciting. As it was cobbled together at the last moment with no back story it made it hard to really care about though. Both guys put on a good match though so that's a positive, hopefully they will both be given something good to run with over the next few months.
The Pat Patterson segment with Ziggler wasn't bad either. Got Ziggler some good heat, but another segment you get the feeling was thrown together at the last minute. I mean, at a PPV, if someone makes an impromtu appearance and comes to the ring to make a speech, you just know, that ineviatbly it will end in them being taken out by a ****y heel, though this was ok in some ways, it was just so predictable in others, how many times have we seen this happen before?

Largely in agreement with Sledgers review of Breaking Point. It was a decent show and DX finally put somebody over! This will do great things for the credibility of Legacy as a legitimate group and can only be good for Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase.
I was a bit confused by the whole Montreal Screwjob revisited finish. On one hand, they really could've gone another way of having CM Punk keep the belt but with it being a Submission themed PPV in Montreal, the finish was to be expected.
Of course Hell in a Cell is turning out to be a replica of Breaking Point with Cena vs Orton and DX vs Legacy again. I really hope they go in a different direction after the Hell in a Cell PPV. Batista moving to Smackdown is odd too, but understandable as Smackdown doesn't really have any faces except for John Morrison and Matt Hardy.
It was also great to see Trish Stratus back on Raw and she looked absolutely stunning. Even today, she's the best looking Diva around and she has a certain charm and class that makes her so much better than any other Diva in the WWE.

Yeah I thought RAW was a decent enough show last night, quite enjoyed the Batista/Orton segment, which is odd, as usually I hate segments that invlove either of them. Jericho again made MVP look really good, hope they can get him going places. Have a lot of respect for Jericho at the moment, he is working a hell of a lot at the moment, he and Big Show are doing two TV tapings a week at the moment and doing all the house shows, which is more than any of the other guys.
Though it's good to see Undertaker back, you have to worry about the sensibility of that decision. Apparently he is still in a terrible state and needs to go away for surgery sometime soon, so I expect he will be probably disappear after the Hell in a Cell PPV to get fit for Wrestlemania. Batista will then take his place I imagine, which is dissapointing, as it would be great to see Morrison given the chance to step up, though if he keeps up his good work, I would say the chances of him winning the MITB at Wrestlemania are huge.

Just finished watching the PPV, decent without being great. Fantastic match between Cena and Orton, Orton's best of the year by far. Can't agree that Orton was buried in any way whatsoever, I thought this match put his character over far more than any of his cowardly defences so far this year. The way the match went down made a lot of sense to me; the people's hero cena won't give in hence keeping him as the hero and good guy, Orton's badass side came through even more than when he was attacking defenceless McMahon's, and the STF continues to be sold as a brutal finisher especially when cuffs are involved. Honestly thought that the match got them both even more over, really well done, will probably be in one of my top five matches of the year!
And as sledger said, Cena didn't try and fudge those attacks with the canes! Show his body to someone who tells you wrestling is fake
Punk-Taker was too short and the finish was BS, I'll wait and see where they go with the ref/Teddy before making a complete judgement on that though.
Punk's work continues to be brilliant, he is immense on the mic. I was surprised to hear him reference Jeff's arrest. The plot thickens.
Anyway, sorry for the random stream of thoughts, been working flat out and I've had to watch the PPV in stages. Hoping to catch Trish on raw sometime over the next few days, god I love her

Yeah, he's not looking as trim as he once was, but I imagine that is down to general ageing more than anything else. I think he would benefit a great deal from a hair cut as well, get it all cut short imo. His long hair doesn't really suit him anymore since he's grown up a lot from when he first started out, and I think a fresh look like this could help prevent his character from going stale. Feel a bit sorry for Matt tbh, has been a good servant for the company and has remained very over considering how many burials/poor gimmicks he has been through, has kind of suffered in the same way that Jericho did for a long time in the sense that he has for long periods put over people who are less talented than he. Also deserves massive credit for the way he really kick started Edge's rise to prominence imo, I know Edge was holding the MITB before it happened, but his run with Hardy was awesome and generated so much heat. Kind of get the feeling that it will soon be make or break time for Matt, he's been stuck in the midcard/upper midcard for what seems like forever now, if his current singles push doesn't go anywhere then I don't think he'll ever get any higher, which for mine is a shame, as he at least deserves a chance at the top for all the work he has put in over the years.

This is the main reason why Cena haters really annoy me tbh, the amount of times Cena has taken major bumps and put his body through a hell of a lot more than most others on the roster in the name of putting on a good show is up there above a lot of the "top performers", I can't remember a time when HHH wore a load of kendo stick shots like that or took a tumble from the top of a ladder to the outside of the ring. Even if you think Cena is the worst wrestler ever (which he clearly is not) you surely have to respect how much the guy is willing to give for the fans, he really seems passionate about what he does, I'm not a massive fan of the guy, but I do like him, and sure as hell respect what he does.Just finished watching the PPV, decent without being great. TNA just released BG James and Jim Cornette. It seems clear that while Jeff Jarrett is staying on in the company, his power is being reduced significantly. But regardless of company politics, why would any wrestling promotion want to release Jim Cornette? He's got one of the best minds in the industry and I think that TNA have made a bad decision here.
Apparently BG James was doing a great job as an agent backstage and was getting along well with the talent and he's been with TNA since it started in 2002 and they released him too. He's too old for a WWE return and won't really fit in with their current plans, so it might be back to the independent scene for him or he might just leave the industry all together.

Ken Anderson, Val Venis and The Godfather have also signed and will be touring Australia with Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Can't say I'm too excited about this tour. TNA tour Australia as well in February next year and they always seem to put on good house shows, so that might be something worth going to. Smackdown and ECW tour in June or July next year so if Edge, Christian, Jericho, Undertaker and CM Punk are all part of Smackdown and ECW, that would definitely be the show to go see live.
