Not watching this on tv but that seems like a really weird dimissal to get rid of Sanga. Should be the game for India though the RRR is still manageable.

"27.3

Singh to Sangakkara, OUT, OMG! What a bizzare way to get out. Oh dear. It''s a low full toss, below waist-high, Sangakkara has a jab at it and here is where the trouble starts. The bat slips out of his sweaty gloved hands and flips in the air back over his shoulder and falls on the stumps. What a way to go. Sanga looks stunned. Shocked. He was looking to really fight it out there but the captain has to go. Raina tackles RP in celebration and both go down to the ground laughing. For what it's worth, the ball rolled towards mid-on after impact with the bat. "

Is this some sort of joke?

Yusuf Pathan misses a sitter.

Sri Lanka still not completely out of the game although they have lost a bit too many wickets.

Yeah if Sanga had stayed till the end it could have been really close. Given the low quality of the SL lower order I would guess the game is in the bag.

Hopefully it will get the vodoo off their back about winning one-off ODI finals and help them win more important finals down the road.

The game is still not over with 10 overs remaining. Powerplay left too. There is a slight chance that it will be a close one. Just a slight chance but that is much better than no chance.

Yeah it's over.

I must mention though that Kulasekara averages 31 v India in 17 games but he can't do it alone now that Kandamby is gone.

Meh don't like Harbhajan Singh shouting **** or some thing loudly after he took the wicket while he emraced Yuvraj and now shouting come on. It is ugly the way he does it and doesn't make you look like the most gracious of winners.

Nice bit of commentary a few minutes ago by Ian Bishop. He noted that Ishant Sharma had bowled four straight balls but that it was at this stage of an over, late in the game where fatigue could cause a loss of concentration. And just the next ball Ishant lost his line and conceded a boundary. One of the best commentators around.

Anyway congratulations India and like I said I hope it helps them win bigger finals down the road.

Bhajji has got 4 now. Bad move to push the batting powerplay to the 45th over. The top order should have faced it.

Yeah that was great commentating. Bishop is a superb commentator, one of the best of the younger generation.

5 wickets for Harbhajan. Who deserves the MOM? Tendulkar would be the popular choice but Harbhajan has taken key wickets as well. In the end Tendulkar made a big hundred and that almost always guarantees you a MOM in such scenarios but what do you think? Who should it go to ideally?

My MOM - Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar for his fine 138

So does this get us back at no.1 in the ICC rankings? It would be weird if losing a meaningless preliminary match costs India the no.1 rank while winning the final doesn't regain it.
