 love the guy in the yellow shirt. Has his angry grimace face sorted (y)

Reckon it's pretty clear Adebayor meant to do it, give 'im 7.

You're missing the point; no Prem clubs, aside from those with billionaire benefactors, have a pot to piss in. Most of them have annual operating losses in the tens of millions, which is pretty much directly down to inflated transfers & wage bills. Sooner or later the piper has to be paid; witness the fire sale at poor old Pompey and I can bet yer Spurts will be in the same situation in 18-24 months too.
.
Not us in the slightest. We can afford to the one or two players we need to get us over the hump and yet refuse to do so. No fan in their right mind has called for ridiculous expenditure.

Bollocks he would. Was lined up for a move to a big club regardless for his performances with Togo.
Haha, I remember reading a quote from the Monaco head boss at the time saying he thought the initial call from Arsenal was a prank one. No-one thought Adebayor would ever be a 20 goal a season Premiership striker apart from Arsene. Shame he's such a humongous douche though. I hate him more than ****ley Cole.

No, we're a model of a well-run, financially prudent club &, at the risk of repeating myself, the fact that we are is largely down to M Wenger & to a lesser extent David Dein. I just think Arsene deserves a bit more faith; two defeats in Manchester doesn't invalidate his MO.

I'm sure if we could afford (say) Buffon or Alonso he'd jump at the chance, but currently we aren't at that level financially.

Anyway: Greater Manchester police blame Adebayor for injured steward.

Three weeks for the stamp (rushed thru so it starts for ManUre) plus whatever he gets for that. If the police are publically blaiming him you'd have to reckon it'd be at least the same again.

****.

2 points here. I'm not basing anything on 2 defeats and I'm not asking for a Buffon type signing. Just someone better than the likes of Diaby and Silvestre which shouldnt cost us an arm and a leg.

6 games isn't enough for Ade imo. Needs to be infected with AIDS at the very least.

Wanted him dead last year tbh. Don't hate him any more than I did back then.
Yeah, never been a fan. This is what I said on July 12th 2008:

"Never been entirely convinced by Adebayor tho, had a purple patch for a couple of months either side of Xmas but his overall chance/goal ratio wouldn't actually be that flash. If we get £25m for him & sign Santa Cruz for (say) £15m I'd call it good business."

David Hills in yesterday's Observer reminds us WAC he always was. This is him in June 2008,

"Yes, I'm under contract to Arsenal – but it's up to the directors to satisfy my demands. Barcelona have made me a good financial offer. If Arsenal give me what I want, I stay. If they don't, I leave."

& the ****sucker wonders why every Arsenal fan hates him.

What reall impressed me with the City/Arse match is that the security team managed to keep all of those fans off the pitch. I mean, come on. West Ham v Millwall, dozens of them get in. Adebayor provokes Arsenal fans who are irate and ... not one? Not ONE? C'mon, the security team could have at least let one walk on so he could bop him. It doesn't even need to hurt him or anything, it would have just been bloody hilarious to see a footballer actually get what's coming to him.
