*Official* Australia in England T20s and ODIs

Aus deserved to win, we deserved to lose, Clarke sucks. This game taught us nothing we didn't already know.

Obviously it's very possible that Freddie might never play for England again. Therefore, it is very possible that we're ****ed. Miss him more than we will in the Test side.

and please never let Pietersen get injured again.

My word, we're dire at ODIs.

Glad these came after the Ashes, could have been some serious damage done to morale etc

The good thing about the ODI's being after the Tests is that even when we're 7-0 down I can still post this;

Hard to believe we beat SA 4-0 last summer.

Flintoff & Broad played a fair part in that as I remember it, though

Bopara - 87 runs @ 28.66. SR of 57.71 FFS
Shah - 60 runs @ 20, SR of 75.94
Prior - 29 runs @ 9.66, SR of 51.71

Dreaful. Bopara and Prior make Shah look like Symonds tbf.

If this was pre-Ashes, this would all be big news. As it is, I can't imagine that a single person on CW gives much of a toss about this series. Really poor scheduling

So frustrating, with the way Australia have batted we coulda, shoulda, woulda won at least one of these games if, you know, there were any decent LO bats in the team. Very poor, a lot of work to do, CT could be embarassing if KP isn't there.
To be fair today Australia did not need to bat any differently. It is one of the worst things about one day cricket that sides know exactly how to chase a score of about 220 and unless they possess the sort of players that can destroy an opposition at the start of an innings they will do it like Australia did today. Agree though Australia are not great, it is not suprising given the amount of great players they have lost but they are solid and solid is easily enough to beat this side.

Hard to recall a worse England ODI side in recent memory. Batsman not capable of putting up a decent total and the bowlers are not potent. Do any of them average under 30 with the ball, maybe Swann? Remember when Jimmeh had a fantastic ODI average and S/R, now its ****house, just like the rest.

Reckon the 06 side was worse, though at least we had Tresco
On second thoughts...

The game at Leeds when Sri Lanka chased down 300+ in 30 odd overs. Harmy went for 90+.

Remember after that shower, England got knocked out of the World Cup by Portugal. Great day to bury bad news.

Dalrymple went for 48 from 10. So IIRC SL hit 300ish off 28 overs off the rest of the attack.
Bresnan bowled 2 overs for 29. Saj got slapped.
