It's a real shame neither Tuffey or NcCullum can play in the Champions Trophy, unless of course both Mills & Patel are ruled out with Injury :sneaky2:

Good thinking. While you're going round putting laxatives in peoples food, can you pay a visit to Hopkins and Diamanti too? :)

Didn't realise this was N McCullum's ODI debut. Perhaps that's why they were reluctant to pick him for the Champions Trophy.

Sweet. Pretty brainless shot tbh. Just as they were starting to look quite comfortable against Vettori too.

Shane Bond is such an awesome player, he improves the team immeasurably. Daniel Vettori's so much more dangerous with those two early wickets for barely any runs behind him.

This is true, although it's been perfectly clear to me for about 6 month now that NcCullum is a better limited overs bowler than Patel. Could possibly go on to be a better test option too, but that's debatable

This is the beauty of 50 over match.. You can gain control of the match from any situation, if a partnership develops for the batting teamm..

I see Thilian Samaraweera is making his ODI-highscore right now.

How come a batsman, with a test average over 50, who is supposed to be a handy all-rounder, is only playing his 22nd ODI and averages only a bit more than 20?

About the game:Matthews & Samaraweera are scoring over 7 rpo now, having set a decent partnership. This might very well be the turn-around in this match. However, Onbeforehand, cricinfo suggested 260-270 would be a decent score. Would 200-220 really be a tough job for NZ?
