Reminds me of Cardiff, Colly the only batsman to stick around and then heroics from Jimmeh at the end

****ing arseholes. ****ing useless arseholes.

Owais, Prior, Bopara **** off to whichever counties you play for.

Losing mickey mouse games is one thing. To do it like this two times in a row is something else.

Not sure he outperformed Johnson. Johnson bat + ball performance was probably more valuable, imo.
Mmm valuable, maybe. I thought he was a bit inconsistent with the ball, but he bowls bloody fast and gets results.

Lee's bowling was the one stand-out performance of the match though, ultra-fast, ultra-accurate reverse swing bowling. Just looked at the scorecard there- he finished with 2/22 off 8.1 overs.

Funny how England batted so badly the one Aussie who actually bowled well was barely even required.

Yeah, Lee was outstanding. He has been bowling consistently quicker than I can remember in recent memory and the accuracy is just superb.

Should Bracken just bowl cutters non-stop in ODIs as a change bowler? Looking that way.

I feel I owe Bangladesh an apology having suggested the other day that England currently have the worst top 6 out of the test playing nations apart from the Bangers. Good as Lee was, this should have been a stroll, as should the 1st game. The only interest for the rest of this wretched series is to see if England can beat their own record of losing all 6 in a oneday series and go one better this time. Given that Aus have won the first two without getting close to their best, you'd have to say that 7-0 is the likeliest bet unless a game or two is rained off.

The most humiliating thing about this, is I just had a thought that even Ian Bell would be better then this shower.

It don't get no lower :(

On first glance I thought you said you were thinking about Ian Bell in the shower.

Bell definitely would be a decent bet by current standards. KP & Fred massive losses.

Actually it does, Alistair Cook would probably do better as well. :-O

Seriously though, surely it's worth giving Davies (Steve, not Mark) a go at the top order. I'm not even particularly fussed if it's as a wicketkeeper/batsman or purely as a batsman. He is certainly a fierce striker of the cricket ball, and would be a good player to add some urgency to our frequently somnambulant top order, while also being more technically reliable than the other keeper/one-day opener Mustard. I'm not massively fussed whether he replaces Bopara, Prior or Shah, to be honest.

Morgan should not play for the rest of the series either IMO. I'm not too sure about the logic about replacing the person who was England's best player on Friday in Rashid and replacing him with someone who is not exactly piling on the runs in second-division county cricket. The argument about batting depth doesn't hold any water either, really. There is hardly any difference between the batting ability of Broad and Bresnan that means that one can't play at No.7, and I am not entirely convinced there's that much between that of Morgan and Rashid, especially on current form.

Lastly...can anyone explain why Anderson bowled nine overs, and Bresnan and Swann, both of whom were much superior, got seven and eight respectively. That's not the best use of our bowling resources, is it?
