Their has been numerous memorable knocks that one has seen in the history of One Day Cricket.

But some of them stands out for their supreme Quality and value because of the joy, thrill, excitement it brings about in the mind of fans and spectators .

Obviously their has to be a set of criteria to determine that.

So I have chalked out the following criteria for selecting the Greatest One Day knocks of all times

The criteria of selection.

What about the jayasuriya innings in the asia cup final against pakistan? That was a pretty good innings under pressure.

Anyway of the ones you've listed I've only seen the gilchrist and gibbs innings and I think Gibbs innings was the better one.

Pleased to see Clive Lloyd's knock in there, as it's still my favourite oneday knock. WC final against an Aus attack of Lillee, Thommo, Gilmour and Walker. Great strike rate, esp for 1975 ffs! Helped WI recover from a dodgy start to set up a match winning total. What more could anyone want?

Kapil Dev 175* off 138 balls, vs Zimbabwe 1983 WC, India facing elimination, came in at 9/4, soon became 17/5. Absolutely incredible innings, shame there isn't any video of it....

Tendulkar's hundreds against Australia at Sharjah were beyond awesome, left Warne with nightmares for 6 months.

Tendulkar's 90 odd against Pakistan in the 2003 WC, top quality attack, massive game, I think it was Mickey Arthur who said it was the best batting display he had ever seen.

Mahela Jayawardene vs NZ WC 2007 Semi final, beautifully constructed hundred, innings of the tournament untill the final.

Robin Smith 167no v Australia 1993. If there's ever been a better one day innings I've not seen it.

Indeed it was a great knock! He performed it without out a helmet against a supreme pace battery of Lillee, Thommo, Gilmour and Walker. Absolutely Mind blowing!

That was a great innings. I think Robin Smith was one of the best players of fast bowling during his time.

He made fast bowling look so easy with immaculate pulls and hooks. I really liked the guy for his natural ability in batting.

Jayasurya in full cry. Can their be a better sight? It was pure poetry. I am a great fan of this master batsman. Such incredible skills and talent!

Boy! What an innings that was!.His comng out of the pitch and belting the ball wherever he wants is a treat to watch. He can play all the shots in the book and some of his own. Power, Precision, Timing. He has everything. A fans' delight.

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Brian Lara in a one day knock in Australia. He looked out of sorts early on and his strike rate was slow. Then he started attacking, hit Warne for three consecutive sixes and won the game for the Windies. Can't remember which game.
