To be fair to Clarke too, he's done the right thing here just taking singles to get White on strike rather than wafting away and having dot balls.
Hate how the commentators try to crack that 25 off 31 is actually a really good innings just because someone happens to be playing well at the other end.

It's way better than 10 off 5 balls in this circumstance. It rarely happens that you have two guys creaming it around.

Of course, once White got out he needed to become the guy that hits out.

Agree with this, it's hideous. They've still got batting to come and it's wasted, people like Lee and Johnson would be so much better in this situation, Clarke should of hit out or get out.

Glad that he's done it though:)

Probably Johnson or Lee should have come in instead of Voges. Unless there's something I don't know about Voges ability to hit from the off.

Sidebottom fucming, always entertaining to see itbt, can't blame him though, poor drop that

Think we bowled well there, if Denly had held on to that catch from White then things could have been grim for the crims, as it is he didn't and given that we're, um, nothing special (to put it kindly) in T20, it should be an interesting chase.

Nah, Clarke still had to hit out once he'd got himself in. Sometimes people look at the scoreboard and it says 60/3 after ten and they think, "****, need to dig in and rebuild here", but there's only ten overs left. If you were three wickets down with ten overs of an ODI left to play you wouldn't dream of digging in.

Hmm... I reckon they've got a decent total here, I don't think it's a 160-170 pitch.

Bookies make us big favourites at 8/13 - Aus 6/5.

I know who I'd back if I hadn't already got on them earlier!

It's probably because if D/L comes into the equation to any extent it's a guaranteed win for England.

In the World T20, England set the West Indies 162 to win in twenty overs, at a run rate of 8.1 per over. Rain came, and the chase was shortened. Duckworth-Lewis decreed that instead of scoring at 8.1 an over for twenty overs, the West Indies need only score at 8.8 an over for nine overs.

Any rain at all and you're home and dry.
