Good to see O'Brien having a go. You are likely to get out to him at some point, so you may as well just have a swing and get as many runs as possible. Would love it if O'Brien could help Vettori to his century.

Haha, that would be awesome.

Who is the most likely of those to ever get into the black caps? McClenaghan?
Bennett plain sucks most of the time, Sherlock spends all his time injured and I think has been dropped from CDs contracts, Davis is crap, so yes McClennaghan it is.

Reckon McClenaghan is the only one with a sniff, if he shows he's worked on his accuracy this/next/whenever season.
Just wait till the talkback crowd led by Mark Richardson call for his inclusion on the basis of 'sheer pace'

Mark Richardson *facepalm*

In commentary he's like Ian Healy, everywhere else he isnt even that bad, he has no idea.

Give him a bat, tape up his mouth, and he's perfect. Has more guts than all of our top order combined.

Well the selectors seems to be hoping Arnel will fit into that picture I think. He's about 30 or 31 already but if he can do an O'Brien would be useful for a few years.
Haha there's quite a typical NZ paceman rumour about Arnel. Would laugh if it was true.

Basically, back when he was a young lad he was pretty quick and when bowling in the academy on concrete indoor wickets he complained of pain in his back. His coaches gave him a glass of cement and told him to harden up and that he was imagining it.

He promptly ****ed his body over and lost 5-10kmh and became nice and injury prone ever since.

Is that just a rumour? I read that was what Arnel said about his past career when he first was selected in a NZ squad - ie. it's true.
