Could be
He's not express, but likes to come in hard, bowling at just under/around 140kph, can apparently swing it both ways too
Not very big for a paceman either, shorter than Ben Hilfenhaus , and his ability with the bat is around James Anderson level
Sort of like a Tim Southee extended edition

His short domestic record shows he's deadly in home conditions, and if he can also show he can bowl on decks with little in them, should probably cement a place in a future NZ side

Plus, it would be nice to have a left-armer who actually focuses on what he's best at
I have nightmares about him cleaning up in the Champion's trophy later this year, and the South Africans welcoming him back with open arms...

 That thought never occured to me
Don't think it will happen though, with the likes of Parnell and Tsotsobe in the wings, by the time they look at him he will have already qualified for us

EDIT: Add him on Facebook and coax him into staying

Around 140-145 tbf.

I just want to say that they was a gripping partnership on review. That is what test cricket is all about. A team in a hopeless position but trying anyway to save the day. The guys were starting to make me proud towards the end of it. Shame it had to end. I guess Oram relaxed against the part timer. That is how part timers take wickets you let your guard down.
But that is the cricket I wanted to see out of the new zealanders. It is such a shame that they couldn't have lasted longer. With murali out things were starting to swing in our favour.
Oram did get lucky though with that lbw shout so I guess his luck had to run out.

Still another two years I think?
I imagine Tuffey/Bond would slot into Martin's place on retirement
You reckon Bond will still be around when Martin retires?

What will our fast bowling ranks look like 18 months from now? I'm assuming we'll have no Martin, Bond or O'Brien as they will all have retired, and I'd be surprised if Oram was still fit to bowl. It will be:

Tuffey
Southee

Y
